Unveiling the Genius Behind the Divorcee Chapter 5
Chapter 5 She Was Not Aylin
Since he had disguised his true color for a long time, he calmed himself down soon.
He ignored the broken door and quickly restrained his emotions. He went forward and kindly held Aylin's hand, looking her up and down lovingly.
"Aylin, you are still alive. It's great... I've been looking for you all these years.
"Do you know how much I miss you and your parents? I finally meet you."
He rambled on about the past. What a warm scene it was! When he became excited, he was on the verge of tears.
Aylin looked at the hypocritical expression on his face. She found it ridiculous, but she did not show it. "Is that so? I've experienced a lot over the past few years, and I've been missing you."
"You are a good girl. Don't be too sad. Although your parents are dead, I will always be your family and take good care of you. I can feel relieved when you get married to someone you love and have children with him."
He smiled gently and warmly as if he cared about Aylin very much.
Aylin clenched her hand by her side tightly and then tried her best to wear a touching expression. "I will appreciate your kindness."
For a moment, the atmosphere in the office was warm.
Hanson finally felt relieved.
In his mind, Aylin was inexperienced and young. Although she was lucky enough to survive, there was no need to fear
her.
If she became a threat later, he could deal with her easily.
He was lost in thoughts.
Just then, Aylin changed the topic...
"You must have been tired over the past three years. When my parents were still alive, they said that they would hand over the company to me. I didn't expect that I would leave for three years. Now that I'm back, it's time for me to handle the company they left for me."
"What?"
Hanson was dumbfounded for a moment. The smile froze on his face, and he could no longer hide his feelings.
Aylin had wanted to test Hanson.
She suffered a loss of memory when she was about to inherit the company. During her disappearance, her parents died in an accident.
Was it just a coincidence? Aylin could not help but be suspicious.
Hanson's reaction just now had deepened her suspicions.
"What do you think?"
Hanson was shocked.
He could hardly remain calm anymore.
He took a deep breath to suppress the anger in his heart and forced a smile, saying slowly, "Aylin, you are joking,
right?
"You are young. I understand that you want to make a career, but you left for three years. You are not clear about the company's situation. It is better for you to study in the company for a while before managing it."
"No need. I have a strong learning ability."
Aylin put on a gentle smile, but she said in a domineering voice, "Go and inform everyone to have a meeting. I'm
going to be the new president."
When Aylin was busy handling Hanson, Gavyn rushed to the hospital.
Pushing the door open, Gavyn, who was dressed in a black suit, walked in. With sharp features, he looked aloof. His
eyelashes were long, and his nose was high. He pursed his thin lips and stared at Laila.
"Gavyn!"
Even though she had seen him yesterday, Laila was fascinated by his pretty face once more.
With her tears streaming down her delicate face, she was about to get out of bed and throw herself into Gavyn's arms. However, Gavyn hugged her in time.
It was different from Aylin's s**y figure.
Laila was thin and weak. She was the type that men would pity the most. The wide hospital gown swayed on her body, making her look even more fragile and pitiful. Gavyn picked her up and placed her on the bed.
"You are still injured. You need to rest."
Although Gavyn seemed not to know how to comfort her, his voice was gentle and soft. Instantly, Laila was much less dissatisfied about waiting for him for a long time. She hugged Gavyn and looked at him with tears in her eyes. It was hard to tell her real thoughts.
"Gavyn, the doctor said that my legs are severely hurt. I may not be able to dance for the rest of my life, and I may never be able to stand up again..."
She sobbed and looked at Gavyn resolutely. Then, she put on a bitter smile.
"Gavyn, it's so good to see you again. We... we shouldn't meet again in the future. I hope you and Aylin live a happy life..."
As she spoke, a drop of tear fell from the corner of her eyes. She looked sad as well as gorgeous.
Gavyn looked at Laila's wet face and almond eyes. He sank into thoughts suddenly.
He hated women crying and found it annoying.
Aylin was sensible. She wouldn't do anything he didn't like.
No matter how wronged she was, she would only lower her head. With her long eyelashes covering her sad eyes, she cried without a word.
His waist suddenly tightened. Gavyn lowered his head, and Laila's sad face came into his sight.
"Gavyn?"
Gavyn came back to his senses in an instant.
How could he be in a daze? In front of him was Laila, the girl who had risked her life to save him.
She was not the annoying Aylin.
Gavyn frowned, trying to suppress the frustration in his heart. He raised his hand and stroked Laila's head, comforting her.
"I'm sure that you can stand up. Those doctors are useless. Don't worry, I will replace the best doctor to treat you. I will definitely let you return to the stage." "Gavyn, you are so good to me..."
Laila burrowed her head in his arms and laughed softly.
She had done a lot to make Gavyn feel sorry for her. She was behind the car accident, and she also bribed the doctor to exaggerate her condition. Anyway, she succeeded.
Although Aylin had married Gavyn, she failed to gain his heart.
Laila thought, who does Aylin think she is? She is just a woman from the slums. Even though she is beautiful, how dare she sna tch Gavyn away from me! She has to pay for it.
Sooner or later, I will replace her to become Gavyn's wife.
Thinking of this, Laila moved closer to Gavyn and said in a wronged voice, "What if I really become disabled? I don't want to be a cripple. No one will marry me in the future."
Gavyn patted her back gently. As she cried, he could clearly feel that his shirt was wet and the skin on his chest was cold.
With a gloomy face, he landed his gaze on the white wall not far away.
After a long time, Laila heard the answer she dreamed of.
