Epilogue

From deep within her sleep, she felt the stirring. Her thin fingers twitched, her breathing becoming less regular. After so many years, her slumber was ending. She was unaware of the cold surrounding her. All that mattered was waking up. Her faculties returned slowly. She became aware of the wind outside, of the silence pressing upon her ears. Her toes wiggled, her fingers stretched. Her dress rustled as she began to shake the stiffness from her body. Finally, the eyelashes fluttered and pulled apart. She looked at the world for the first time in centuries. The corners of her lips turned up ever so slightly as the violet and silver eyes once again beheld what lay before her.
