Waited For The Luna -
Chapter 23
I went into the water for a relaxing swim. The salty water on my skin, the sand on my toes, and the sunset on my skin. It was the little things I appreciate after my little heartbreak.
“Hello, Cross” I heard the familiar cool, deep voice call me behind my back.
“Alpha White” I said bowing my head a little to acknowledge his presence.
“How are you?” He asked as he swam near me.
“Better. I’m just here to relax a little.” I answer calmly and straightforward.
“Can I hold you?” He asked. I didn’t know what to say, and awkwardness filled the air. But as I said before, physical touch was easier for me to handle than speaking to him, so I took his hand and he instantly hugged me by my waist.
“I missed you so much, Bellamy. You don’t know how lonely I’ve been. ” He cried.
Luka is now officially my rebound guy.
“Alpha White, this is wrong. I just got through a breakup this morning.” I said realizing how impulsive hugging him was.
“What the hell are you even doing with that loser?” He asked, more like demanded.
“Please forgive me Alpha White, but whatever we had before are things between the two of us.” I said.
“Can you stop it? Stop being so formal Bellamy and call me by my name.” I can sense he got a little annoyed.
“I’m sorry. I’m afraid I’ll have to leave now.” Before I could swim far from he carried me up until we reached the shore. “Come with us. We’re going to have dinner.” He ordered with his alpha tone. I already had breakfast with them. So dinner wouldn’t sound so bad. Plus, I did miss Macy.
I then walked to my sun lounger where my things were, dried myself, and wore my beach trousers just as I was towel drying my hair I glanced over to the man who seemed to be eye-raping. Seeing him all satisfied I decided to play along.
“You know it’s rude to stare, Alpha White.” I said smirking while squinting my eyes.
“I can stare at what’s mine how long I like. Cross.” He said crossing his arms to his chest. I didn’t expect that rebut. But I have the perfect reply.
“These bikinis are too tiny for you. I can order them in your size if you want to.” I said looking at my black bikini.
“You’re too smart Cross. Don’t even think I’m not angry knowing that someone has been sleeping with what’s mine. Next time I see you with another guy, I’ll definitely kill him.” He said gritting his teeth. I was enjoying this exchange between us. Too bad for him I never plan on coming back.
“There won’t be a next time. Because you’ll never see me again.” I rolled my eyes and turned my back. Pissed I didn’t really want to join the pack of demons for dinner.
But the next thing I knew, Luka threw me to his shoulders.
“Luka! PUT ME DOWN! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!” I struggled, kicking and punching him, but my protest was left unheard. “You’ll pay for this Luka. I’ll sleep with all the men on the beach tonight.” I said gritting my teeth. I was having a head rash already.
“Then I’ll kill them before they can even stare at you.”
“You arrogant son of a bitch! What are you a serial killer?” I said. We then entered a restaurant. At this point after being in this position for 10 minutes, I wasn’t even embarrassed for myself, I was embarrassed for him. Macy and the others were already seated at the table. Luka then put me down like a little doll.
“A*s whip!” I stared. Everyone seemed to be flustered by the way I talked back at him. But he ignored me and sat on the seat beside me.
“How are you? The guy was sent to a hospital, he’ll live, but he’ll have to stay there for a little while. The girl went with him as well.” Macy said.
“He deserves it anyway.” Luka jumped in and joined the conversation. Annoyed at him, I tried to provoke him.
“I do feel bad for him though. I mean, we’ve been living together for 3 years. That’s quite a long time to grow attached to someone. I mean my bed would probably feel cold afterwards.” Luka fisted his hand clenched his teeth. The three other men were just staring at us.
“Don’t worry it’s not like you’re mated to that man. You aren’t are you?” Forrest asked.
“It does feel like that. But anyway he’s a loser and a cheat. ” I said since there are limits to a man’s patience that I just can’t handle.
“Bellamy, come home to the pack with us. I badly need a maid-of-honor on my wedding.”
“I’m sorry Macy, I told you. I just can’t miss a day in med school. But I promise I’ll make it up to you okay”
“When do you plan on returning to the pack?” Eric asked.
“Oh, I’m not returning. Alpha White gave me permission to leave the pack. But I can still visit.” Luka seemed to have lost his appetite the moment I said that. I could feel the tension and wrath that was to follow me on my way out of here.
After dinner, we went to a bar nearby for a few drinks. Being the college party girl that I am, I quickly gulped down 10 shot glasses of tequila. The boys were enjoying their beers. Feeling a little tipsy, I went to the dance floor to enjoy myself. I guy then snaked his hands around my waist and danced with me. The guy was a foreigner and I quickly went with it.
“What’s your name, baby girl.” I then felt him getting a little too close, so I backed out away from him. “I’m into foreigners. ” I said but he took my wrist. “Hands of my girl” Luka threatened and the man backed away quickly. Luka then led me out of the bar and shoved me in a car. The others came along and drove in another car as Luka drove. We then stopped in a beautiful villa. Luka then took my wrist and shoved me down the couch.
“What show are you trying to put on? Enough of this you’re coming home with us.”
“I’m not going, dad “
Macy then entered with the others seeing our heated exchange.
“You can’t order me around because you’re not my alpha anymore. I am a pack less she-wolf” I said standing up about to leave. But Trey and Eric blocked the door.
“Go, away! Stop acting like a child Bellamy. It’s not safe to leave.” Luka said.
“What are you all doing now, trying to protect me? You are the bad guys. If I go out there and you stay in here then I’ll be safe.” I said.
“We’re sorry Bellamy. We were jerks” Forrest came forward.
“I’m sorry Bellamy. I know we can’t turn back time.” Trey followed.
“We all thought about it, and we are really sorry. For that night in the alley and for every time we bullied you.” Eric said.
“Okay, I forgive you, now let me go.” I didn’t want to be enclosed in an emotional environment so I pushed them down. But the fight wasn’t even so I lost to the upper hand.
“Forgiving you doesn’t make you my friends. I’m not part of your pack, so I’m not your responsibility.” I said crossing my hands to my chest.
I was drunk, and I wanted to rest so badly. I know these things are already in the past and I have to move on, but for years it’s been etched in my brain and I can never trust them that easily. I’ll forgive them, I’ll forget but they shouldn’t expect me to be friends with them.
