Waited For The Luna -
Chapter 42
LUKA’S POV
“Reservation for Luka White.” The hostess led me to our table and I frowned upon not seeing Bellamy. I then turned to the hostess who assisted me and asked. “Has a girl come here? She’s about 180cm tall, black hair, green eyes?”
“No sir. The tables have been unoccupied.” She replied.
“Okay thank you. She must be late.” I then sat down on the chair. There must be something in the hospital so she might be running a little late. Not wasting any time, I fished out my phone to call her but it went straight to voice mail. I realized she must’ve been driving here.
Half an hour passed and she still wasn’t here. I stood up and left. I checked the cars parked but hers wasn’t there.
‘Did she leave me again?’ A thought ringed in my mind. The thought of her leaving me one more time is a trauma I can never recover from. ‘No, she must be in the hospital.’
I tried to suppress the thoughts and focused on driving. I went straight to the hospital and saw her car parked. The door was left open. Bellamy would never leave her car open she was too careful to do that.
I then went inside and asked her colleagues but most of them left and have changed shifts already. I then begged for her time card. She punched out at 6:33, it was already 8:15. With her car parked outside, it would be impossible for her to be at home right now.
“She went to the locker room at around 7:30 and immediately left after that. She was wearing a red dress and was all dolled up like it was date night.” Her colleague told me.
Hearing that and adding up her car being left in the hospital, with the door not fully closed. It could only mean one thing.
‘They’ve gotten Bellamy.’
BELLAMY’S POV
I opened my eyes and I was lying on a huge bed. I scanned my surroundings, it was a man’s bedroom. My head was pounding because of the wolfsbane. I scanned myself for injuries, lucky there weren’t any. ‘Oh, my goddess! Luka must be looking for me right now!’ The thought of that is not sitting well for me. Luka can overwork himself and he might arrange a search party for me. I didn’t want anyone to get harmed so I knew I had to replace a way out.
I knocked on the door but no one answered. It was locked from the outside. I tried to look for openings I might escape in but I had no luck. The windows were all sealed. I didn’t even know if it was still nighttime. Goddess knows how long I’ve been held here.
After what felt like forever the door was opened and a familiar face walked in. She changed after years of not seeing her. I didn’t utter a word as she stared at me with pure disgust. Scanning me from head to toe.
“Don’t worry you’ll be safe. For now.” Ellie broke the silence.
“Where am I, Ellie?”
“Your father asked you to clean up and put this on.” She handed me a white off-shoulder dress that stopped to my knees.
“I’ll be back in 10 minutes.” She said before leaving.
I then washed up and put on the dress. It was my only way of knowing why I was abducted and maybe replaceing an opening myself. After 30 minutes she went back with 3 big men. It was dark when we got out so I must have been here for almost a day already. The house was massive, the wing I was in had 12 doors.
Ellie escorted me into a dining hall. There was a man sitting at the head of the table with a cigar in his fingers. I was then ordered to occupy the seat beside him.
“Good evening, Bellamy. My name is Ceasar Huxley. I’m your father.`”
I looked at him with my eyes wide open.
“Everyone told me my real father died in battle. How can I trust your word? How is it that you’re still alive?” I asked him giving him an indifferent stare.
He then handed me an envelope. “You’re a doctor, I’m sure you can understand the words in there.”
I opened the envelope, it was a DNA test stating that we were 100% related. The paper looked authentic but I still had my doubts. A few servants then placed our meals.
“We took a sample from you 2 days ago while you were passed out. You must be famished. Eat up and will talk after you’re done.” The man’s tone was cold and authoritative. I then slowly fed myself with the soup placed in front of me. After my meal, he lit up another cigar and puffed circles in the air.
“Can you cut to the chase and tell me why I’m here?” I asked as I gritted my teeth. I tried to suppress my emotions since I wanted him to trust me.
“You’re here because you are my gift to my friend.” He casually said. As if I was an object that can be shipped out at his disposal. “As your father, I’ve found the perfect man for you to marry. You haven’t mated with that White boy, haven’t you? Good then.”
“Why would you do that?” I remained calm and composed.
“Because I need him to take over White Moon. To bring it back to its glory and to take back what was meant for our family.” He said as he stood up and leaned in closer to me. He took another puff before continuing, “The Huxley family have always been the Alpha family in White moon but the Whites challenged us against it. They said we were being too cruel in expanding our territory and challenging the packs that resided near.”
I followed him as he strode out the dining hall.
“My great-grandfather and his family were executed brutally. His wife was raped by Argon White himself. They kept my grandfather who was 7, alive to torture him and make him a servant for the White family. He was able to gather information about the killing of his family, so he passed it on to my father who then formed a group to overthrow the Whites which he then passed on to me. But we didn’t succeed and left you behind. We have alpha b***d in us Charlotte” He called me Charlotte. I suspected it was my birth name.
He halted his steps and turned to me. “The Whites are merely thieves and with your marriage to Elias, I’ll be able to beat them with Elias’ army. You will be a good girl and follow daddy’s orders. You understand?” I didn’t respond, before I knew it he signaled the guards and they took me back to my room.
