Chapter 19 Cordelia Was Upset

Cordelia immediately smiled and pushed the door open. “Elijah, I havesomething to talk to you about.”

Elijah’s outfits today were not as casual as usual but very formal. Hissuit jacket was hanging on a hanger beside him.

Now he was wearing a white shirt, and his hair was combedmeticulously, making him look less sloppy than usual and moreserious.

When he was at work, he looked charming.

Knowing Cordelia came, Elijah took a look at her coldly, then loweredhis head and said, “Okay. We'll talk about it until I finish my work.”Then Cordelia waited until noon.

The assistant was sensible and delivered them lunch. Then Elijah put hiswork aside, got up, and sat down on the sofa.

“Elijah, today...”

“Don't talk about such an unpleasing topic during the meal.” Elijahsquinted at her and pushed her lunch toward her.

Cordelia pressed her lips together and had to eat obediently.

It wasn't until they finished eating that Elijah said, “Are you afraid I'llchange my mind?”

Cordelia was wiping the corner of her mouth. Hearing this, she pausedand then looked at him. “Today, I was late due to something. It was myfault. I sincerely apologize to you.”

Elijah smiled.

He raised his hand and took the tissue from Cordelia“s hand. Then hegently pinched her chin with one hand and wiped the corners of hermouth with the other hand.

“I remember I said that the one who doesn’t show up will be called adog.”

Cordelia was suddenly embarrassed. Her face blushed instantly, and shewas ashamed and angry.

“Babe, I'll remind you once again. If you leave me, the mess in yourmother's family will have nothing to do with me anymore.” Elijah’s voicewas hoarse, and he reminded her in a low voice.

Cordelia’s body trembled slightly, and she immediately dodged. back,looking at him vigilantly. “Are you regretting it?”

Elijah’s eyes changed, and he had a mocking smile immediately.

“Why are you so confident?”

Cordelia ignored his attitude and hurriedly said, “Then let's go to... in awhile.”

“I have a meeting in the afternoon.” Elijah got up and walked to standby the window. He seemed very irritable and lit up a cigarette.

His work was important, and so was Eva. Divorce was such a trivialmatter that he cared little about!

Cordelia frowned.

“How long will I have to wait? I don't want to wait any longer!” Shethought.

“Or, you can entrust someone to do it?” Cordelia suggested.

"I will consider it.”

Cordelia couldn't bear it anymore, got up, and left angrily.

She felt that no matter what she did, it was useless and that Elijah nevergave her the answer all the time.

She took the presidents special elevator and went directly downstairsto leave.

However, as soon as she walked out of the elevator, she bumped intosomeone.
