Cordelia still regarded it as a small talk and said truthfully, "He is fromBeilve City, in charge of the family business.”

Mia's face unconsciously became unpleasant, and she asked, "Hisfather, is his name Gabe Hansen?"

Cordelia looked at Mia somewhat unexpectedly and said, "Yes, Ms. MiaHolland, do you know him?"

The three of them enjoyed dinner together in a happy atmosphere.After they finished dinner, Cordelia prepared to leave.

Mia hastily said, "Eas, go and see Cordelia off."

Eason felt helpless and didn't correct Mia's way of addressing him.

As Cordelia got into the car, her expression appeared somewhat weary.Eason smiled faintly. "Thank you, Cordelia.”

"No problem. Chatting with your mom was very nice," Cordelia saidwith a smile.

"I noticed that you often look at your phone. Do you have somethingelse to do?" Eason asked casually.

"Well, I want to check on Imogen,” Cordelia didn't tell him that she waswaiting for Elijah's message.

Long-distance relationships were truly tough, and Cordelia finallybegan to understand the feeling of constant concern.

Cordelia thought it was no wonder that couples who have been inlong-distance relationships eventually break up, and it was just toohard to endure, too painful.

Eason immediately instructed the driver to take the car to Adam's place.Imogen was in the bathroom when they entered, vomiting into thetoilet.

Hearing Cordelia's arrival, Imogen came out of the restroom with amournful face. "Cordelia, I can't take it anymore.”

Cordelia sincerely comforted her, saying, "I completely understand howyou feel right now. It feels like wanting to get rid of it a hundred times aday."

Imogen immediately nodded frantically. "Yes, even a hundred times isnot enough.”

After saying that, the two of them entered Imogen’s room together.Adam looked at Eason with a suggestive expression and said, "Eason, itseems like you've become quite close with Cordelia lately!"

Eason replied calmly without any change in expression, "Hmm.""What? Is there no chance between you two?" Adam asked, puzzled."What chance? Cordelia is still in a relationship with Elijah," Eason said.Adam choked and muttered under his breath, "Well, I think that Elijahisn't reliable anyway. There are rumors about him from Beilve City everyday."

"Cordelia is willing to believe him. That's enough,” Eason spoke, walkingto the window and gazing into the distance. His gaze grew colder andcolder.

If Elijah dared to disappoint Cordelia, he would immediately snatch heraway and never give him the slightest chance again!

In Imogen's room,

Cordelia couldn't help but feel a bit overwhelmed when she walked inand saw the room in a complete mess.

"Imogen, this..."

Imogen immediately touched her finger in a helpless manner and said,"I feel uncomfortable, so I don't want to tidy up.”

Cordelia gave her a white look and said, "I really don't know what to dowith you!"

So, while helping her tidy up the room, Cordelia chatted with her.

"Has Ben been bothering you these past few days?" Cordelia asked withconcern.

"No, he seems to have gone back to Beilve City. But Elissa occasionallysends me anonymous messages from unknown numbers, trying toscare me," Imogen casually replied.

Cordelia frowned instantly. "Let me see what she said.”

Imogen obediently handed over her phone, saying nonchalantly, "It'sjust provocation, half true and half false. I wonder if she's so confident,why is she afraid of me? I won't compete with her for a man, after all."
