Chapter 30 Men Are All Same

It was a terrible thing to see women go nuts.

Cordelia had never seen Janice go crazy like this!

She must be under a lot of pressure from the Deleon family. Perhapsshe was also afraid of losing her current luxurious life.

Nevertheless, Janice was Cordelia’s mother, after all. Therefore, Cordeliadidn't fight back. She just restrained her mother and avoided her, butshe still got hurt a bit.

Later, the security guards came out and took Janice under control. Theyasked Cordelia if she wanted to call the police, but Cordelia waved herhand.

“Mrs. Janice Deleon, I didn't expect you to be so selfish that you wouldmake a fool of yourself for the sake of a so-called good life.”Cordelia's tone was calm. Her neck had a few scratches, but sheremained calm and composed.

Janice, on the other hand, was in a mess, and her eyes were full ofhatred.

“If I knew you were to be such an ungrateful bastard, I should havestrangled you to death when you were young!”

It was hard to hear a mother scolding her own daughter like this.

In fact, Cordelia was almost an orphan.

Her grandmother brought her up, and she had no family after hergrandmother passed away.

One day, Janice suddenly came to the countryside and took her back toBeilve City. She thought Janice regretted abandoning her and wantedto make up for her. However, Janice just wanted to “sell” her!

Cordelia wanted to refuse the deal.

However, when she found out that the person she was going to marrywas Elijah, she obeyed. She thought her life would finally turn out to begood.

Unfortunately, she was wrong all along!

That night, Cordelia got drunk alone in a small bar.

She squinted at the young man singing on stage and tipped him athousand dollars.

The man was flattered, and after singing, he took the initiative to keepCordelia company.

Cordelia became drunk and fell on the table.

“Miss, can you tell me where you live? I'll take you home.” The manasked gently.

"Home?" Cordelia suddenly laughed, tears streaming down her face. She had no home.

She lost her home when her grandmother passed away!

“How did she get so drunk?” A stern male voice suddenly sounded.

“I don't know, Sir.” The young man answered.

“Stay away from her!”

"O-okay..."

Cordelia was crying when someone suddenly pinched her shouldersand helped her from the table.

“What have you done, Cordelia? If our grandfather knows about this, hewill give you a hard time, you know?" Elijah reprimanded viciously.“What grandfather? I don't have a grandfather, and I don't even knowwho my father is!” Cordelia waved her hand, trying to shake off Elijah’shand.

But she couldn't. Elijah wouldn't let her go, which annoyed Cordelia. She pouted and retorted, “Why are you being so annoying? I hate you!Where's the young man just now?”

Elijah wasn't very angry until she spoke of the young singer.

He squeezed Cordelia’s wrist vigorously and asked ferociously, “What?Do you like that young man?”
