Chapter 57 Be in a Good Mood

“Little fool!”

Elijah let go of her and got up after kissing her.

Cordelia was stunned when she saw his back was covered withscratches.

It seemed it was scratched by her.

Elijah seemed to have noticed her gaze and looked back at her.Cordelia evaded his gaze, pulled the quilt, and quickly covered herself.“I didn't know which kitten scratched me last night.” Elijah smiled.“You're the one who doesn’t know when to stop...” Cordelia

retorted.

“Yes, this is what you have to bear if you want a child.”

Elijah seemed in a good mood and walked briskly into the bathroom. The scenes of last night flooded back in Cordelia’s mind, making herface blush

Elijah finished the shower not long after and came out of thebathroom. He came to her and put his hands on her sides.

“Don't run around today. Take a good rest at home and wait for me tocome back, huh?”

His voice was soft, and his eyes were smiling. His face seemed to befilled with pride.

Obviously, although a lot of unpleasant things happened last night, hewas quite satisfied with the sex on the bed.

He had cheered up again and planned to come back to sleep with herat night!

“You should go now! I want to have a sleep.” Cordelia turned

over.

Elijah patted her buttocks lightly and then left in joy.

“Bastard! What's wrong with him?” Cordelia yawned and soon fell into asound sleep..

It was afternoon when she woke up again.

Nora reheated the lunch for her and put it on the dining table with asmile.

“Mrs. Hansen, Mr. Hansen called at noon to ask if you had lunch. Whenhe heard you were still asleep, he asked me not to disturb you.”Cordelia forced a smile and said, “Thank you, Nora.”

Cordelia looked down with a trace of confusion flashing in her

eyes.

“Mrs. Hansen, hope you won't mind what I'm going to say,” Nora saidearnestly, “Men like to save face. If you want to live a happy life, youcan show a little more concern for Mr. Hansen. He must be veryhappy.”

“I understand,” Cordelia responded perfunctorily, not taking her wordsto heart.

Elijah had never really loved her, and she had given up trying tomaintain this marriage.

After dinner, Cordelia turned on her phone and was immediatelybombarded with messages from Imogen.

[Big news. Cordelia, my video account makes a hit!]

[Do you know how many likes the video of you playing the accordionhas now? One hundred thousand! It's one hundred

thousand!)

[That's incredible! You helped me attract two hundred thousandfollowers overnight. I'm going to get rich!]

[It will be wonderful if you can show your face. Cordelia, don't you wantto think about it?]

Cordelia was stunned and quickly called Imogen, who was dizzy

with thrill.

“Imogen, stop thinking of showing my face. Elijah’s grandfather ishospitalized. Don't piss him off!”

The elders valued dignity the most and were traditional. Cordelia didn'twant to be punished because of this.

Besides, she had talent. There was no need to show her face.

“Alright. I got it! Don’t be angry. I won't mention it again.”

Imogen quickly coaxed her.

After a pause, she continued, "But I showed your costume in the groupchats. It doesn't matter, does it?"

Cordelia was speechless and said helplessly, “Imogen, this is the lasttime I shoot a video for you. I don't believe you anymore!”
