Chapter 212
Shawn cradled Naomi in his arms, struck by how fragile she felt.
Despite being pampered for so long, she remained incredibly thin.
As they arrived at the car, Chandler had opened the door already. The middle panel fell and Shawn wrapped her in a blanket, suggesting, “Do you want to go to the sea of flowers?”
Naomi shook her head.
She wasn’t feeling well and didn’t want to go anywhere.
But Shawn wanted to make her happy, so he suggested other places to visit, “What about the forest park? The zoo? An amusement park?”
Naomi refused, “I don’t have the energy. I just want to go back and lie down.”
Shawn agreed, “Okay, then let’s go back and lie down.”
Naomi continued, “I want to go back to the Edwards manor. Rosalind is there, and I want her to take care of me.”
Shawn instructed, “Okay. Chandler, go to the Edwards manor.”
“Yes, Mr. Fischer.” Chandler responded.
Half an hour later, the black Bentley parked at the Edwards manor.
Shawn still held her in his arms and walked into the manor calmly. He asked, “Which floor is your bedroom, and which one?”
“Second floor, the one on the right,” she responded.
The one on the right was the former children’s room in the Edwards manor, where Rosalind lived as a child. After growing up, she moved to the best room in the Edwards manor, leaving the children’s room empty.
She, on the other hand, grew up living in the maid’s room.
After Shawn bought the Edwards manor and gave it to her, she converted the children’s room into her room.
She didn’t live there often, but it was good to be prepared.
Shawn carried her into the room and fetched water to wipe her body.
Naomi watched his actions and panicked, “Shawn, I’ll do it myself.”
“Stay still.” Shawn said undeniably, “You got injured and sick because of me, so it’s only natural that
I come to take care of you and apply the medicine for you. Don’t refuse my care.”

His words caused her face to redden
Nacemi. it’s my first time taking care of someone. Shawn’s voice was low, and he had a tube of ointment in his hand. If you are shy, close your eyes. Or Til blindfold you.”
Naomi closed her eyes, pretending to be asleep.
Shawn smiled and went into the bathroom. After washing his hands, he carefully applied the
sintment to her.
Throughout the process, Naomi remained stiff, her fingers clutching the bed sheets tightly. It finally ended, and the next second Shawn’s soft lips covered her eyes.
His warm breath brushed against her cheeks. He apologized again, “Naomi, I’m sorry. It’s my fault for making you suffer.”
Naomi opened her mouth and wanted to say something, but she didn’t
After administering her medicine, Shawn covered her with the quilt and adjusted the air conditioner. “You sleep first. I’ll take a shower.”
Naomi remained silent, her eyes closed.
Shawn had never coaxed a woman before but was willing to coax her.
He went to take a shower and came out casually wrapped in a bath towel. Naomi was looking at the design drawings with her phone. She looked up at him and then lowered her head.
He approached her, lifted the quilt, and hugged her, taking the phone from her hand and saying, “You’re not in good health right now. You need to rest more.”
Naomi said, “But I slept when put on a drip. I don’t want to sleep now.”
“Then I’ll watch a movie with you.” Shawn took the iPad and picked a horror movie. He clicked on it and hugged her. “If you’re scared, hold me tight.”
Naomi was speechless.
She suspected Shawn was doing this intentionally.
Maybe it was because she had died once and been reborn again, Naomi had a deep–seated fear of ghosts.
As the movie played, she grew increasingly uneasy and would think of her tragic death in her previous life.
Shawn had been secretly observing her. She was absent–minded and preoccupied.
From time to time, Naomi’s eyebrows furrowed, her eyes flashed with intensity, and her body
temperature plummeted.

Shawn hugged her tighter, turning off the iPad and pulling her onto the bed. He held her hand, saying, “Your feet are freezing. Snuggle up to me.”
Naomi regained her composure, placing her feet on Shawn’s leg. She had always been afraid of the cold and couldn’t help but nestle into his arms.
“Shawn, you’re being unusually patient and gentle today,” she said.
Shawn apologized, “I’m sorry for letting you suffer. It won’t happen again.”
“Shawn, are you coaxing me?” Naomi looked up at him. “I’m not angry with you.”
“I’m apologizing.” Shawn looked into her eyes and said, “You can take it as me coaxing you. You are my first woman. There are some things that I can control and not think about when I don’t touch them, but once I do, I cannot overestimate my self–control.”
Naomi was stunned for a moment and soon realized what Shawn meant. She hugged him and said, “I’m sleepy. Stay with me for a while. But before that, I have something to instruct Rosalind.”
“Okay.” Shawn kissed her forehead and said, “Should I let her in?”
Naomi refused, “No, I’ll call her.”
She took her phone and dialed Rosalind’s number directly.
Her voice was as cold, “Rosalind, I’ll get up in an hour. Prepare fish and shrimp dishes with four cooking methods each. If you can’t do it well, get out of the Edwards manor.”
“Okay, I’ll do it well.” Rosalind agreed in a hurry, cursing in his heart.
Dillon had just contacted her and wanted to come, inquiring if she had contacted her parents yet.
Rosalind thought Naomi was not absent. It should be fine for her to coax Wilson and let Dillon come in. But she didn’t expect Shawn’s sudden appearance with Naomi in his arms.
Naomi looked sick at first sight, but before she could be happy, she called her and told her arrogantly.
Rosalind was furious. Dillon called again. She took a deep breath and hid in the kitchen to the phone.
She said, “Hello, Dillon.”
-Dillon asked, “I’m at your door. Can I come in?”
Rosalind glanced upstairs, thinking that Naomi would come down in an hour. As long as she was careful, she wouldn’t be noticed.
She replied, “Of course. Wait for me, Dillon. I’ll come out to pick you up.”

Outside the gate, Dillon leaned against Coco’s white Bentley and flipped through the photos of Rosalind and Nicolas on his phone.
After reading it, he locked the file.
He planned to use it as a gift for Rosalind at their wedding.
As for Javier and Victoria, he had other gifts for them.
The door slowly opened. Rosalind walked out and greeted, “Dillon,”
Dillon put away his phone and smiled, “Rosalind.”
Rosalind invited, “Let’s go in.”
Dillon nodded.

From time to time, Rosalind looked up at the second–floor window, secretly praying that Naomi would never come downstairs.
Dillon saw her actions but didn’t reveal them. Instead, as usual, he asked her a few questions with. concern and expressed his love for her and his eagerness to marry her.
He said, “Rosalind, you should contact your parents quickly. We’ll get married and go back to Woodan earlier.”
Rosalind nodded, “Okay, I’ll contact them as soon as possible.”
After taking Dillon into the manor, she pulled out her phone and ordered fish and shrimp. Because Naomi specified four cooking methods, she had to buy more.
She paid for it with her own money.
Naomi won’t give her any money.
When Rosalind was out of money, she secretly asked Nicolas for help, and he would generously oblige.
Rosalind asked, “Dillon, would you like to go and sit in my room?”
Dillon nodded, “Okay!”
Rosalind took Dillon into the maid’s room and said, “Naomi let me live here. Do you
mind it?”
She looked at him anxiously, “Naomi is domineering in our family, so I’m always the one who was bullied. But I never blame her. As the older sister, I should give in to her.”
Dillon looked at the maid’s room up and down. He would sympathize with her if he didn’t know Rosalind’s true nature.
Rosalind had only lived in the maid’s room for a few days, but Naomi had been living in it since

However, Dillon still showed an unhappy look on his face. “Naomi has live in the maid’s room. You’re her sister, not a maid.”

Rosalind lowered her head and said, “Dillon, I didn’t dare to invite you over before because I was afraid you’d be angry if you knew. Now, I’ll go cook for her.”
“Isn’t there a servant in such a big manor? Naomi lets you do everything. You’re not a servant. Why do you have to obey her every command?”
Dillon took her hand and said, “I’ll take you away. You can move to my place.”
Rosalind refused, “Naomi will be furious if she replaces out. Besides, your parents won’t approve of us living together before marriage. I don’t want them to be disappointed.”
Rosalind looked at him pitifully and continued, “I’ll be fine after I replace my parents. I am Naomi’s sister, and I should give in to her.”
Dillon gazed at her, sighing, “Rosalind, you’re too kind, it’s heartbreaking.”
Rosalind’s eyes welled up with tears as she hugged, “Dillon, I’m so lucky to have met you. Without you, I don’t know what I’d do. Don’t blame Naomi. She is not bad. I have spoiled her since she was a
child.”
Just then, a light laughter sounded from the doorway, “Really? I didn’t even know that you were such a good storyteller.”
