Meanwhile, in Sparrow Residence, Spencer was wearing a white bathrobe. The front of the robe was loosely tied shut, and a sliver of his muscular chest was exposed.
His bangs were dripping with water after his shower. The crystalline droplets slid down the sides of his perfect face. They rolled past his strong jaw and sexy throat before finally seeping into his bathrobe which left a lot for the imagination.
He gave off the vibe of a nobleman. He looked like the perfect hunk who just got out of the shower.
After quickly cleaning up, he changed into a pair of silk pajamas. Then, he picked up his phone and saw a text from Lucille ten minutes ago.
“Sorry, was in the shower and didn’t see your message,” he typed.
Lucille was lying in bed when she received Spencer’s reply. When she saw what it said, her mind immediately began to run wild.
She slapped herself on the forehead and instantly returned to her senses.
“No worries. In that case, get some rest. See you tomorrow!” she wrote then sent a photo of the moon.
“Okay, see you tomorrow. Goodnight,” Spencer replied together with a head–patting emoji.
When Lucille saw that, she went to bed with a smile on her face.
On the other hand, Spencer didn’t sleep as well as she did. His mind kept replaying their kiss from earlier tonight. It had felt so good that he was craving more,
Her lips had been so soft and so sweet. The taste of her was unforgettable.
The next morning, as soon as Lucille stepped into the office, she spotted a group of people that she really didn’t want to see. She regarded them with a cold glance and said with a scoff, “What a way to ruin my appetite so early in the morning!”
Horace stood in front of her with a cane in his hand. With a stern expression, he said reproachfully, “How did our family raise such a rude person? Shouldn’t you be greeting me?!”
Lucille snickered. Cocking an eyebrow, she stared coldly at the old man on a power trip. Then, she put on a faint smile and said, “My dear grandfather, when have you ever considered me a Johnson?”
Although she said it casually, her tone was cold to the bone.
“Since you’ve never treated me as family, why should I greet you? Even if you don’t think it’s disgusting, I have to call a spade a spade!” she continued while giving him the side eye.
Her arrogance and disregard for others instantly infuriated Horace and William!
William pointed at Lucille and scolded her angrily, “The audacity! He is your grandfather. Who allowed you to be rude and disrespect your elders?”
Lucille looked at her father, who always played favorites. When William saw Lucille’s cold gaze on him,
his heart nearly stopped for a moment.
She stared at him frostily. “I allowed myself!” she said haughtily. 1)

Chapter 27
It was the time her staff usually clocked in for work. Everyone knew that she wasn’t on good terms with her family; it was public knowledge. Still, this precarious situation put everyone on edge!
But, their boss wasn’t known as the she–devil for nothing. Even when alone, her aura was enough to zap the four people standing across from her to smithereens!
Samuel happened to arrive at that moment. He glanced at the crowd and said coldly, “Are you all hoping to become unemployed?”
The crowd of onlookers instantly dispersed. No one dared to stay behind.
Quietly, Samuel stood behind Lucille.
Sabrina held onto Ivy’s arm. With her elegant posture, she looked like the epitome of a young lady. She stared at Lucille, who was wearing a tasteful but still stylish suit. She had to admit that the latter was indeed pretty, but it was because of this that her jealousy and hatred for Lucille only grew.
She was jealous of how Lucille’s holier–than–thou attitude never faltered, and she hated how Lucille always appeared to be aloof, carefree, and unbothered. 1
After losing the Johnson family’s protection and Harold, she should be devastated and destroyed. However, she wasn’t.
She was still her typical self. In fact, she was becoming even more arrogant.
How could Lucille still be so carefree and elegant? Sabrina wasn’t going to allow it!
Also, how dare she hold onto the Johnson family shares as well as the Star&Ciel Group? Those things should belong to Sabrina.
The jealousy only twisted her mind further.
Lucille’s words left William at a loss for words. All he could do was glare angrily and fiercely at her.
He didn’t forget why he had come today.
Lucille pretended not to see him.
“We came here today because we wanted to discuss something with you.” Even though Horace didn’t like this granddaughter of his, he still had to play nice. After all, they wanted to talk to her about something. Lucille was slightly surprised to hear Horace say the word “discuss.” This was going to be interesting. Without saying a word, she crossed her arms and waited for them to continue.
Horace felt irritated seeing her haughty attitude, but he forced himself to suppress it. “Your sister called you yesterday. You should already know what this is about,” he said.
Lucille stared at him while still remaining silent. She didn’t think they would corner her at the Star&Ciel Group office just for those two matters.
When Horace saw how she was still ignoring him, his expression darkened. His tone also turned more serious. “On the 28th, you must join the Everett family’s piano recital!”
Lucille narrowed her eyes coolly. “Why should I?” she said icily.
