However, when Lucille saw Spencer’s irresistibly handsome face, she felt flustered again.
“Well, I’m sorry for making you stay in this tiny apartment with me,” she said awkwardly, not knowing what else to say.
Spencer was captivated by the sight of Lucille after her bath. Her fair skin was tinged with a rosy glow, making her seem both seductive and alluring. Her attempt to appear relaxed, despite her obvious tension, was endearing.
“It’s okay. As long as you’re here, I’m happy,” Spencer said, his deep black eyes filled with affection.
“Oh my god!” Lucille thought. “Spencer has become so good at being romantic. Where did he learn all this? Is this really his first relationship?”
The idea of falling in love after marriage overwhelmed her. Whenever Spencer mentioned “legal“, she found herself unable to argue. The contract they had signed before seemed useless now
Eventually, Lucille had to admit defeat. No matter what she said, Spencer had an argument to counter
- it.
She sat cross–legged on the bed, listening to the sounds of running water from the bathroom. She felt a headache coming on.
Before she knew it, the bathroom door opened. She instinctively looked up, only to be stunned by what she saw.
Spencer emerged, his chiseled face radiating a cold charm. His wet hair was slightly tousled, with drops of water clinging to the strands. His high nose and perfect lips added to his allure.
He was only wearing a towel, showcasing his well–defined muscles. The water droplets slid down his sculpted body to his tantalizing V–line. Good heavens!
She’d known that he had a great body, but this was beyond her expectations. He was perfectly toned, with not an ounce of excess fat on his body.
She couldn’t help but feel a hint of possessiveness over his body. Combined with his striking face, he was absolutely stunning.
“Like what you see?”
Spencer’s voice snapped her out of her daze. She quickly looked away, embarrassed at being caught staring.
Trying to cover her embarrassment, she said, “Why didn’t you take your pajamas into the bathroom?”
As soon as she spoke,,she felt the bed dip next to her. She looked over in shock to see Spencer getting into bed.
“I prefer to sleep naked,” he said in a low voice.
Lucille’s mind buzzed again. Spencer just wouldn’t let her have a moment’s peace! Thankfully, she had

a strong heart; otherwise, she might have needed medication to calm down.
Taking a deep breath with her eyes closed, she decided she couldn’t let him do as he pleased, especially in her own space.
“No, I’m not used to it. You can either put on your pajamas or I’ll sleep on the couch,” she said, giving him her final ultimatum.
Spencer was speechless. In the end, he reluctantly went to change into his pajamas so that he wouldn’t have to sleep alone.
“And dry your hair before you come back,” Lucille added, noticing his wet hair.
Spencer obediently returned to the bathroom, quickly drying his hair before coming back.
“Spencer, I think we need to talk,” Lucille said, sitting cross–legged on the bed.
Lucille forced herself to stay calm as she looked at Spencer, who had put on his pajamas. She couldn’t help but notice that he looked like a model, even in pajamas.
After living alone for so long, suddenly sharing her space with a handsome man who perfectly fit her preferences felt almost torturous.
Spencer was surprisingly cooperative. He sat down and listened to her.
