Chapter 65

“Those ladies look so pretty and elegant. Which rich family do they belong to?”

“It’s my first time seeing so many beautiful ladies together. They’re even prettier than some celebrities.

The crowd continued to whisper amongst themselves. Lucille, Bailey, and Eunice exchanged glances and laughed.

“Let’s go upstairs,” Lucille said.

They stepped into the elevator. After Lucille scanned her face, the elevator took them to the top floor.

Bailey looked at the floor indicator and asked, “Babe, are we heading to the top floor?”

Lucille hummed absent–mindedly and said, “Spencer owns Zaytun Pavilion.”

Bailey gulped and said in awe, “As expected from Mr. Layton. He’s incredible.”

Outsiders had no idea who owned Zaytun Pavilion, but everyone knew that the top floor was only open to special guests. Bailey hadn’t expected to get the chance to go to the top floor in this lifetime.

More importantly, her best friend was basically the co–owner of this place. Bailey felt so lucky.

She clung to Lucille’s arm and said enviously, “Babe, I’ve decided to leech off you for the rest of my life.

Lucille glanced at her helplessly and patted her head. She said while smiling, “Sure, I’ll take good care of you.”

As she watched Bailey cling to Lucille, Eunice thought they were cute. Lucille looked at Bailey so fondly that Eunice envied how close they were to each other.

If she hadn’t married lan, she probably could’ve lived like them too. But that was nothing more than an assumption.

Lucille noticed Eunice’s dejected expression in the mirror inside the elevator and gave Bailey a look. Bailey immediately caught on.

“Eunie, if you’re ever bored, feel free to come to me or Lucy. We’re always in Whiteloop City.” Bailey grabbed Eunice’s arm with her free hand. Her sudden movement shocked Eunice.

“That’s right, Eunie. You can hang out with us from now on,” Lucille said. She wasn’t used to making friends, but she was really fond of Eunice for some reason.

Eunice looked at them. She nodded, feeling touched.

They exchanged contact numbers in the elevator and created a group chat. It was just that easy for

women to befriend each other.

In the private room, the men looked like they were getting along too.

Ethan looked at lan, who looked cold and distant, and asked, “lan, where’s Eunice?”

He’d spotted Eunice just now, but she’d never shown up in their private room. He was concerned.

“What’s the matter? Are you worried about her?” lan narrowed his eyes and glared at Ethan.

Ethan was speechless. He pursed his lips, thinking he shouldn’t have asked.

Everyone said Spencer was cold–blooded and aloof, but lan was worse than him–out of the two, he was the terrifying one.

Even though he was usually quiet, he could be crueler and colder than anyone else if the situation called for it. On the contrary, Spencer was only cold to outsiders.

He’d never been fond of women because someone else already had his heart. They’d only recently found out that that person was Lucille, his current wife.

What a cunning man! He’d hidden it so well.

lan’s eyes darkened when he heard Eunice’s name. He’d purposely ditched her on the first floor. They needed to scan their faces to get to the top floor, and Eunice didn’t have access.

However, Eunice had never called or messaged him, even though it had already been five minutes. No one had come up to inform them either. Had she left?
