Keith nodded. “Of course. Drink up, Ms. Johnson.”
you sure about that?”
He picked up Lucille’s wine glass and handed it to her. The three men had long since set their sights on Lucille–she looked cold, but that didn’t take away from her beauty and hourglass figure. She was the very definition of an ice queen.
Philip Celton, Keith, and Donald thought they could get away with anything because of their statuses in the industry. Besides, Star&Ciel Group wanted to work with them, so they thought they had leverage over Lucille.
She narrowed her eyes at Keith’s hand on her wine glass and asked, “What if I refuse to drink?”
“Don’t wanna drink, huh? That’s fine. You’ll just have to spend a night with us.” Donald cackled lecherously. His meaning was clear.
A short silence descended upon the room. Then, Lucille said icily, “I’m afraid your three won’t be able to handle me.”
For a split second, chills ran down the three men’s spines. Lucille’s voice had scared them a little. But soon, they composed themselves and laughed. How could a weak, powerless woman stand a chance against them?
“That’s what we should be saying to you, gorgeous!” Keith dropped the act and guffawed. He squeezed Lucille’s thigh as he spoke.
She wore a blue chiffon blouse with well–fitting black trousers. The outfit didn’t show any skin, but it showed off her long legs. Keith had been staring at them for hours; he was practically drooling over them.
“Exactly! It’s one of you against the three of us. You’re the one who won’t be able to handle us!”
“Give it up, Ms. Johnson. Be good, and enjoy the pleasure we’ll bring you!”
Donald and Philip were as lewd and shameless as Keith. They were blinded by their desire for Lucille, so they didn’t notice how her ferocity intensified with every passing second.

Four scions sat in another private room. Even the lights in this room seemed brighter than any other. Two of the men had their arms around the club’s hostesses while the other two sat on two ends of the same couch. It was clear that they didn’t want any
women near them.
“You two are boring!” Ethan Shaw leaned against the couch while stretching his arms out along the back of the couch and crossing his legs. Two pretty hostesses sat on either side of him as he looked at Lucas Forrest and Spencer.
He continued, “You two don’t want women with you, nor do you want to drink. What are you even doing here?”
Lucas pushed his gold–rimmed glasses up and said seriously, “I’m a doctor. I have to be ready for any emergencies.”
Zachary Jonas suddenly said to the hostess beside him, “Go pour Mr. Layton a drink, babe.”
He looked at Spencer with amusement. The hostess, Molly Green, shuddered at Zachary’s words. She frequently accompanied Zachary and Ethan when they were at the nightclub, so she’d seen how scary Spencer could get. Rumor had it he was at serious germaphobe who hated women being near him.
Zachary could guess what she was thinking. He smiled and asked, “What’s wrong? Are you scared?”
“No, of course not.” Molly couldn’t afford to offend any of the people in the room, so she had no choice but to do as told.
Fortunately for her, she’d poured a drink and was about to approach Spencer when the room door swung open. A man Molly had never met before strode inside. Her sixth sense told her she’d been saved.
“Sorry to disturb you, gentlemen. I have something urgent to report to Mr. Layton.” It was Mack.
Ethan saw the hesitant look on his face. “You said you have something urgent to tell Spencer, right? Why are you still standing there?”
Spencer looked up at Mack with narrowed eyes. “What is it?”
Mack had hesitated because the three other men weren’t aware of Spencer getting married. He didn’t want to let the cat out of the bag. Since Spencer had asked, he said, “I saw Mrs. Layton earlier, Mr. Layton.”

She was incredibly cold, though.
Lucille was taken aback when she saw the people at the door. She stopped short. Spencer stood there in a dark suit. His handsome face and alluring eyes came into her line of sight. Suddenly, she felt a little nervous that he’d seen her in her current
state
They stared into each other’s gaze for several seconds. Lucille could sense that he was furious–his gaze was icy, and his face was cold. Her heart sank at the sight.
Someone like him probably liked women who were obedient and gentle. She was the exact opposite–she was prickly and headstrong. She looked away from him. Spencer caught the flash of disappointment and self–mockery in her eyes. He hadn’t known her for long, yet he’d already witnessed this self–deprecation several times. With everyone’s eyes on her, Lucille moved to the couch nearby to grab her coat and bag. Then, she turned to leave the room. She didn’t look at Spencer as she brushed past him. But to her surprise, he grabbed her arm.
Ethan and Zachary were stunned when they saw this. In fact, they felt somewhat horrified. Spencer had actually taken the initiative to touch a woman!
“Let me go!” Lucille said coldly. Their horror intensified. How dare she speak to Spencer like that! Did she have a death wish?
Mack didn’t dare to say anything, too. He could only admire Lucille’s courage.
Just then, Samuel hurried over. His heart sank when he saw the crowd gathered outside the room. Had something happened to Lucille?
She’d brought him along but hadn’t allowed him to accompany her during the negotiation. She’d only told him to wait outside and said that she’d be out by 9:00 pm. It was already a few minutes past 9:00 pm, but he hadn’t seen her. She hadn’t answered her phone, either. That was why Samuel had hurried upstairs to replace her.
