Chapter 302 It's Good to Have a Home

Alexa tasted the soup. The soft, sweet warmth instantly flowed through her entire body.

"It's delicious."

She revealed a look of approval. Only then did she realize that Terrence was looking at her seriously.

Alexa's cheeks were slightly red, and she was a little embarrassed to be stared at by him.

"Would you want some?"

As she said this, she planned to grab another spoon.

Terrence, however, grabbed Alexa's wrist in time and leaned over to finish the rest of the soup on her spoon.

"We are a couple for long enough now. There's no need for that."

He said casually, yet she felt that her cheeks were burning.

"What... couple..."

It was as if these words were hard to pronounce. Alexa said in a very low voice, and even she did not hear what she had said clearly.

Terrence deliberately leaned closer and asked her.

"What?"

"Nothing!"

Alexa dodged his gaze in a panic. Yet she had nowhere to escape.

"I heard what you said anyway."

"Then I won't repeat it."

Alexa said firmly. Then she immediately picked up a shrimp and fed him.

"Eat."

Terrence nodded with satisfaction as if he was tasting some top-notch delicacies. "The shrimp that my wife fed me herself has a unique flavor indeed."

"What flavor?"

"The flavor of love."

Alexa was speechless.

The meal was a novel experience utterly. Also, it inarguably made Alexa relax a lot.

When Alexa and Terrence left Rose Garden, Beckett sent her a gift.

"This is the lipstick I developed myself. The color matches you." "Thank you, Beckett." After getting in the car, Alexa was still carefully studying the gift box in her hand.

Terrence watched her quietly. Alexa remained still.

"Why don't you wear it?"

Hearing his voice, Alexa came back to her senses.

"I didn't wear makeup today. I wouldn't look good."

"That's not true."

Terrence replied seriously and then took out the lipstick for her.

Before Alexa realized what Terrence was going to do, he had already leaned his handsome face closer to her.

Then she smelt a slightly cold fragrance, and her lips felt something cold.

Terrence was very professional at applying lipstick. Alexa even wondered if he had some special training.

"Done."

He put the lipstick away and naturally adjusted the hair on her temples.

Alexa looked at her lips carefully through the camera on her phone.

She had fair skin and exquisite facial features. She was beautiful and elegant even without makeup.

Moreover, Terrence's "work" was not inferior to a professional stylist at all.

However, Alexa thought of something.

She pursed her lips, and a look of inquiry flashed through her eyes.

"Mr. Ramsey, you are so skilled at this. Do you often practice it?" she asked tentatively.

Terrence instantly tensed up and sensed Alexa's intention.

"Yes." He nodded honestly.

"Really?"

Alexa couldn't help but exclaim in surprise. Her tone changed instantly.

"I knew it!"

She angrily turned her face away, the jealousy in her heart wildly growing.

"Know what?" Terrence asked despite knowing the answer.

"You know what I'm talking about."

Alexa said impatiently and took her hand back from his grumpily.

Looking at the woman in front of him, who was like an angry kitten, Terrence chuckled.

"You are so fond of these kinds of things. Of course, I need to get to

know them," he explained slowly, a smile hidden in his eyes. "So, I specifically learned from professional makeup artists and am always ready to be at your service." Alexa could no longer remain her pretense.

She was trying her best to pretend that nothing had happened. Yet Terrence quietly approached and carefully sized up her expression.

"Given your reaction, is it safe to say that you were jealous?"

"Nonsense. How is that..."

"You are blushing."

"It's hot in here."

Alexa replied firmly and looked out the window with a rosy face.

Terrence looked at the laptop screen quietly and seriously.

Suddenly, he felt pressure on his right shoulder.

He tilted his head slightly. Alexa had already fallen asleep peacefully leaning against his shoulder.

She looked calm when she was asleep. Her thick and long eyelashes fluttered from time to time, and she looked just like a cat that had just enjoyed a meal. Terrence carefully put a blanket on her body. Then he adjusted his sitting position so that she could sleep more comfortably.

When Alexa woke up, the car happened to stop at the entrance of the Ramsey's old mansion.

"Lazy kitten. You are awake."

Hearing Terrence's teasing voice, Alexa was completely awake.

"Huh? How long have I been asleep?"

"Half an hour."

Terrence said and deliberately twisted his arm.

"My shoulder is so sore from your head. It hurts..."

As he spoke, he gasped.

Alexa came back to her senses and asked in a serious tone.

"How are you feeling? Are you OK?"

"Not at all."

"Let me see."

"Just think about how you can make it up to me." Terrence's deep eyes suddenly flashed with a sly smile. "Or, I'll let you know as soon as I figure it out." Meeting his meaningful gaze, Alexa suddenly realized something.

"I see. You are teasing me."

"No. I don't dare."

Alexa ignored his blarney and pounded his shoulder.

"Liar!"

Terrence smiled even more happily and followed her inside.

Knowing that Terrence and Alexa were coming back, Rebekah had already told the staff in the kitchen.

The servants were all busy working in an orderly manner. The elegantly decorated mansion was filled with a lively atmosphere, ready to celebrate the New Year.

"Mr. Ramsey, Mrs. Ramsey." Quinten Carter, the housekeeper, nodded respectfully. "Your parents are in the backyard together with your son."

"No need to inform them. We'll go to them," Alexa said in a gentle voice.

Terrence nodded and kept holding her hand.

Terrence and Alexa walked to the corridor together and saw the three.

Damarion was wearing a lovely red winter coat, looking like a delicate doll.

Right now, he was sitting in the baby chair, accompanying Jason to read seriously.

Rebekah was sitting in front of a small red clay stove, brewing coffee quietly.

The scene was so harmonious and quiet that no one could bear to intrude.

Alexa looked at them, and she suddenly had the urge to cry.

Although she quickly collected herself, Terrence still noticed that something was wrong.

"What's wrong?" he asked in a low voice.

She could maintain composed at first, yet she lost control the moment she heard his question.

"Nothing. I just suddenly feel that it's good to have a home."

Terrence's gentle gaze immediately was filled with tenderness.

He pulled her into his embrace. The slightly cold but familiar fragrance coming from him made her feel a lot more at ease.

"We will never be separated again."

"We will not."

Alexa nodded and silently coveted his embrace.

The phone in her bag suddenly rang. Alexa glanced at the caller ID and smiled at Terrence.

"Go ahead. I'll be right back."
