Wedding Day Vampire
Chapter 24

Suddenly, she spotted a dark figure flying towards where she was. She squinted her eyes further and saw that it was Derick! She couldn’t believe herself but she never thought that she would be so happy to see him. He landed between where she lay and the hungry pack of wolves. The wolves upon seeing him, began to charge at him with full force. Joana, who felt scared that they would kill him, tried to stand up to help him. Much to her surprise, he didn’t need her help. One by one, he began tearing them to pieces with his fangs and claws as they were coming, she watched him as he fought down the pack effortlessly, showing them no mercy as they kept charging.

Joana watched him as he battled in front of her, not letting any of the wolves get to where she was, the b***d of his opponents dripping down from his mouth, staining his hands and his chest. Not minding the situation, she imagined how delicious it would taste if she licked it off him. Ugh get a grip girl.

He had nearly wiped out the pack now and the remaining wolves, who saw that they didn’t stand a chance upon seeing their leader and other Alphas had been defeated, ran for their lives.

“Are you ok?” He asked her as the survivors ran with their tails between their legs.

“Yes, I am,” Joana said. “Thank you for saving me.”

“I’m glad you’re ok, but you shouldn’t have left without telling me. You might know how to use your powers, but you still have a lot to learn when it comes to defending yourself. If I had come a minute later, you would have been dog food.”

“I’m sorry, I told Dana. She offered to come but I told her not to. I felt bad that I was making you both go through so much trouble for me when there was nothing in it for you.”

“You should let us worry about the reason why we choose to help you. For the period you are with us, you are a still a member of our coven until you return to your family. And it is our duty to protect one of our own no matter what, that’s why we’re together.”

She tried to imagine what he meant by them being together, did he mean him, her and Dana or just the two of them? Why was she thinking of so much garbage today? Please Derick, don’t spy into my thoughts. I don’t know what’s wrong with me today.

“Were you able to replace them?” He asked.

“Um… yes,” she said, pretending like she hadn’t been thinking something else.

“Wow, that’s amazing!” He said excitedly. “How did you do it?”

“It’s a long story, I’ll tell you and Dana when we get back home. I’m guessing she told you I found this.”

“She then brought out the book and gave it to him. He collected it and looked through it, flipping the pages.”

“That’s great, I’m glad you were able to do it. You’re one step closer to home than you thought you were now.”

“Yes, but now another journey begins. They gave me a list of ingredients I need to replace for the sacrifice.”

“That’s not a problem, Dana and I will help you in any way we can, and refusing our help is not an option for you anymore.”

“Thank you,” Joana said.

“Let’s go home.”

They drank the rest of the vamscren Joana carried along, unfolded their wings and headed home, back in the direction which they came.

Joana and Derick were in a small cabin, making love by the fireplace. They had no clothes on, and all that covered the both of them was a thin piece of fabric.

“I love you,” he said to her as he kissed her, stroking every part of her body and riding deep into her. She didn’t know where else she wanted to be at this moment.

Suddenly, they heard a loud banging on the door. At first, they thought they would ignore it and continue their session, the person would probably go away when he/she saw that no one was home, but the knocking persisted becoming even louder than ever.

“Wait for me my love,” Derick said as he stood up to pick up his shorts they had thrown in a corner when they first started, hiding his nudity.

As he opened the door, the first thing that greeted him was a punch in the face, Joana was confused, who was that and why had he punched Derick? The intruder then entered the house, and she saw that it was no one but an angry Andrew. He passed by Derick who was still holding his face, recovering from the hit and went over to where she was lying by the fireplace, holding the thin piece of fabric to cover her naked breasts.

He didn’t say a word to her as he grabbed her by the arm, and took her out of the cabin. He placed her on the back of his horse, she held the fabric round her body to cover her nakedness, then Andrew climbed on the horse behind her.

As soon as they were both on it, he took the ropes and charged the horse to start moving, it began riding into the woods, starting off at a slow pace and then getting faster as it moved forward, taking her away further into the surrounding woods. She turned around and took one last look at the cabin where she and Derick were together, she saw him in front of it, still in his shorts looking at her with a heartbroken face as Andrew took her away from him.
