Wedding Day Vampire
Chapter 31

“I don’t know, but we have to accept that they won’t go away if they didn’t die after so long. If it eventually happens, I think we should just go with it and accept it the way it is or pretend like it never happened, but I don’t want that to ruin such a great friendship.”

Derick thought about what she said. She was right, he had missed her as much as she had missed him, and the past few weeks had been hell without her.

“Ok, then I guess it’s settled then,” he said.

Joana gave a sigh of relief after Derick’s response. She couldn’t believe that she was actually scared that he wouldn’t accept her suggestion, but since he did, she was glad that they were finally settled and that things were ok between them now.

“Let’s head back to the castle,” he told her. “The others would have been back.”

“Ok,” she said.

He held her hand, the move sent a small chill down her spine and they walked through the woods to replace an open space where they could both fly away. They didn’t walk for too long before they found one, and then began their flight back to the castle.

Upon getting there, Joana went to Edmund and Hillary’s room to see if they were back, they weren’t. She went to see if Dana was around, but there was no sign of her too. They went out before her, so if it was hunting they went for, then they ought to have been back by now. It then occurred to Joana that they might have gone somewhere else.

Why did they have to leave her alone with Derick? And tonight, of all nights, they thought to do that. If it was before the k**s, she wouldn’t have minded but now that things were weird between them, she didn’t know if she could hold herself for much longer.

She went to his room to inform him of their absence and see if maybe he would have a clue as to where they went.

“Come in,” Derick said.

She came in and still stood at the door, afraid to come any step closer.

“Um, none of them are back yet, I don’t think they went to feed, do you have any idea where they went?”

“Maybe Dana went for one of her trips again and Edmund and Hillary are probably somewhere making out, I don’t know.”

“Ok, I guess I’d better get back to studying then.”

“Do you need any help?”

She sighed, she remembered how things used to be before the fight, oh how she missed those times. She needed his help but she couldn’t lie to herself, the only type of studying that would happen if she and Derick were alone together now was the one between their bodies.

“No, I can manage on my own,” she said politely.

“Ok then, if you need anything I’ll be here in my room.”

“Ok, thank you,” she said.

He made it sound as if he didn’t know what she needed. He knew perfectly, he knew she needed him. But he would not give into his desires this time, if there was going to be any form of intimacy between them again, he would make sure she made the first move.

She didn’t understand, she was right there standing in his room, why didn’t he come closer to meet her the way he did in her dreams? All she needed right now was for him to make love to her, she craved his body more than ever, and now that they were both alone in the castle, she would not waste this opportunity. F**k it, she knew she would regret this later, but she didn’t want to think about any consequences for now. All she wanted to think about was Derick’s naked body beside hers. And if it meant that she had to make the first move, then she would.

She began to walk closer to where he was, she didn’t know where all this courage was coming form, but she didn’t mind as long as it meant she would have Derick tonight.

Derick saw her coming close, and waited for her, he was glad that she was finally giving into her feelings, the way he did at the balcony, and tonight, he was going to f**k the hell out of her.
