Wedding Day Vampire
Chapter 66

Dana sat there in the cave beside me and for the first time, we had a conversation. I told her all about myself, my story and how I ended up here, and she sympathized with me.

“Ok Marylin, the first thing we need to do is to get you out of here. Can you fly?”

“No,” I told her. “Even if I could, I don’t have enough strength to do so, I haven’t eaten in days.”

“Sorry about that, let me quickly get you something to eat, then we can leave.”

She stood up, and flew out through the cave. I only had to wait for a few minutes before she returned with a small dead antelope, captured in her fangs. She threw the antelope on the floor at my feet.

“I just killed it, eat up so that we can go.”

Of course, she didn’t need to tell me twice before I grabbed the animal with my claws and devoured it there. Suddenly, I felt strength and life return to me again.

She waited for me to finish drinking, before she helped me stand up and held my hand.

“Let’s go. I’ll show you how to unfold your wings, it’s not that hard.”

She taught me all I needed to know about flying and let me try it while holding my hand, then it didn’t take long before I could do it on my own.

“I think we’re ready to go now.”

“Yes,” I said. “Thank you for everything.”

Dana laughed at me for thanking her, I didn’t know that she was just getting started for the things she was about to do for me. She took me to this big castle on one of the tallest mountains in that area. It would have taken me forever to climb that mountain. I never even knew that a castle stood atop that mountain.

The castle was deserted and as we walked through the halls, it didn’t take anything for me to realize that we were the only ones there.

“Is this where you live?” I asked her.

“Yes, I inherited this castle from my father after he died. I am a pureblood vampire which means I was born a vampire, and I used to live here with him and his coven. He was a tyrant, and he showed no mercy over the ones he ruled. Many of them ran away or were either killed by him and when there was no one else left, he decided it was time to die.”

“I thought you said vampires were immortal, so how did he die?”

“We might be immortal, but there are still many ways to kill a vampire. As for him, he went to the supreme council to ask for death.”

“The supreme council, what is that?”

Dana smirked.

“You still have a lot to learn dear, but don’t worry, I will teach you all you need to know about this new life of yours, and from now on, you will live here with me.”

She showed me around the palace and took me to my new room. She then took me to the town the next day to get me some new clothes, as I was a tad bit smaller that her size. And that was how Dana didn’t just become my older sister, she also became my roommate, or castle mate rather, my teacher, my confidant, my best friend, and many other things you may want to call it.

She took me on so many adventures. She always said she had so much money that she didn’t know what to do with until I came along. She spoiled me, and with Dana, I lived like a princess. I would have loved this life so much if only I hadn’t become a vampire. I guess a big part of me didn’t just like feeding on live animals and not being able to come out in the sun, but Dana was there to give me all her support, she was family to me, she taught me how to adjust to being a vampire and how to use my powers, how to control my b***d thirst, and I became so good at it. Some years after I moved into the castle, a new vampire joined us, his name was Derick.

Derick, like me too was wandering in the forests when we found him one day while hunting. He was a new vampire and also had to leave his town, his family and everyone he loved after his transformation. Although I’m not sure he killed a human being like I did, but it was as if all the new vampires had a similar story. Dana didn’t waste time in welcoming him into the castle. She had a good heart, the exact opposite of her fathers with the way she always described him.

Derick lived with us in the castle and joined us on our adventures, the three of us travelled the world with a lot of sights to see. While I was human, I never thought I would live like this, but with Derick and Dana beside me, life took a positive turn of things, and things changed when I began to fall in love with Derick.
