Welcome Home Mate
Chapter 95

ROXIE

A MONTH LATER

Every bone in my body ached.

A whole month of training and the ultimate fight was tomorrow and my Luna ceremony.

Bex and I were beyond excited but also nervous.

Sofia did a fantastic job organizing everything for the Luna ceremony. I knew I could trust her. Tonight she will be staying at the house with me; we are having a girl's night, while Lex will be with my father, Jason, Uncle Keith, and Alpha Frank in the pack house. Lex and I decided on treating the whole Luna ceremony like a wedding for the first part.

Alpha Frank told everyone about the Luna ceremony and the ultimate fight through an open pack link. Everyone was buzzing and excited.

A few members came to watch me train when they stumbled on it, which was fantastic. The most people that came to watch me was when I fought Lex and won.

There was no holding back, nothing. He even gave me a run for my money.

My father and Uncle Keith, Alpha Frank, set it up last week.

Lex gave it all, and still, I dropped him on his a*s.

After the fight, I was aching, but that didn't stop Lex from taking me in every position he could. Apparently, it was a turn-on to get your a*s handed to you by your mate, who wore it with pride. Well, until we got home and took charge of the evening. Training got more intense as it came closer to the day. Uncle Keith threw everything at me, and I took it all. My body was worn out and hurt in places it shouldn't, but I knew I had to do it.

Bex helped more than I could count, but she only needed to step in when I took on Lex or my uncle.

As for my brother, I tossed him around like a rag doll a few times. It all got too much when Sofia came to watch. After a few failed attempts at getting me down, he ran after her and has been with her ever since.

They seemed to have rekindled as I have caught them making out the last few times when I have headed back to the house after training.

As training has now come to an end, my thoughts are on the Luna ceremony.

I was excited to take the position, and I even have a few ideas of how to help the pack members. But there was a part of me that was anxious.

Yesterday, Alpha Frank received some information and was told that the Elders would attend. Everyone who was sent an invitation was coming, all alphas and their Lunas.

I was nervous about learning about the Elders coming.

Alpha Frank told us they were intrigued to know what I could do.

I know I would love to meet Elder Issac, but after the last time, he would be the one that I would bring into the ring to fight, which regarding what Alpha Frank told us, I might have to hold Lex back, too as he wasn't too thrilled to hear the snide comments about me. I was doing this ultimate fight to prove that I was no Luna to mess with if they ever attacked the pack. And I was going to damn well show them.

All alphas and their lunas seemed to be in the same boat as the Elders, but some had heard the tales from rogues that fled onto their lands about what had happened. I guess they were coming to have a show to be proven right.

Luna Stephaine and Alpha Dean have come by and even watched the training. I was so happy to hear that they were expecting their first child. Luna Stephanie went over everything that was intended for the Luna ceremony that I should include, but I surprised her when she went through the whole book that Sofia created, which helped her out.

Luna Stephanie wanted to know what my dress looked like, but like everyone else, she will have to wait till tomorrow.

Sofia designed it all for me, and I must admit, it turned out better than I ever expected.

I was pulled back from my thoughts as I heard the front door open.

"Rox," called out Sofia. "Where are you?"

"My room," I yelled back.

I heard her footsteps come up the stairs, and she burst through the door with a beaming smile.

"The dress is downstairs," she said. Her eyes scanned over me, but her face changed as she took in my appearance and frowned.

"You okay?" she asked as she walked over to me.

I sat on my bed in a towel.

I had not long gotten out of the bath after a long soak.

I looked at her as she sat next to me.

"Yeah," I said with a sigh. "Just aching in places I shouldn't be, but I'm fine."

Sofia gave me a small smile.

"I couldn't have done what you have been doing for the last few weeks," she said. "I probably would be on the floor in a heap."

I gave out a little laugh.

"You would have coped," I said.

Sofia gave me an amused look, "yeah, no," she said. "I would have probably would have given up. I know I couldn't have fought four people and even won."

I sighed, remembering my last training session.

Uncle Keith thought fighting four men would help. It was a shock to the system as there were no breaks between each fight, but I managed to fight everyone.

Lex was in my corner, where he would be tomorrow, barking orders on what I should do.

Sofia moved, which made me look at her.

"Get some comfy clothes on," she said. "We can have a movie night and bed early."

I nodded.

I knew I had to mind-link Lex about something, so once Sofia was out of the room, I opened a mind-link to him.

"Lex," I said. "Has your father told you who I am fighting tomorrow?"

"Hey, baby," his voice rang out in my head. "My father won't tell Keith or me. Keith has been hassling him, but my father is not budging."

I sighed.

I didn't like this, not knowing who I was fighting.

"Babe," he called out, "you will fight whoever it is and beat them hands down. I will be in your corner and make sure no one will get into that ring that's not supposed to be, I promise."

I couldn't help but smile.

Lex was worried that I would face Tammy Harsh again, and knowing my luck would be, I worked hard in training, knowing I could take her whatever happened. Lex was more concerned about Demon being there with her at ringside.

I permitted him to get involved in anyone I was facing who brought anyone with them; If they got involved, he could take them out, which helped settle his mind and Blaze.

I could feel movement in my head. Bex had fallen asleep after training; it was taking its toll on us.

"I need to go," I said. "I can't wait to see you."

"I can't wait to see you," he said. "I love you, Rox."

I felt my heart tighten at those words.

"I love you too, Lex," I said and closed the mind link down.

Lex blurted out he loved me after the fight we did. I was shocked to hear it coming out of his mouth, even though I knew he felt that way toward me for a while but hearing those words come out of someone you cared about's mouth was something else. "Mate," whispered Bex as a yawn escaped her lips.

I looked back.

"How are you feeling?" I asked, c*g my head to the side to ensure she was alright.

"I'm fine," she said as she raised her head from her front paws to look at me. "Blaze and I talked while you were in the bath, I know why you placed the block up, and I don't blame you."

I smiled.

I loved hearing Blaze and Bex in my head, but I needed a break when you have been training non-stop for weeks.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

Bex nodded.

"We want this all to be over with now," she sighed. "We know whoever you got in this fight, you can beat them, and you know I am with you all the way."

"Thanks, Bex," I said.

I stared at her for a moment.

"Once the ceremony is over and the fight ends," I said as I got up from the bed and walked over to the dresser, where I placed my clothes for the evening. "We can be with Lex and Blaze more, even settled down more too." Bex nodded.

"You never know; we may have pups," she said, which made me stop.

That was one topic Lex, and I haven't talked about yet, and that's pups.

I want them.

I could feel Bex hum, which made me look back at her.

"What?" I asked.

Bex c****d her head to the side, but after a few moments, she shook her head.

"Nothing," she said. "Pups will come when they come. You need to stay focused."

I stared at her for a bit longer, but she rested her head on her paws and fell asleep.

I knew I wouldn't hear from her again, not tonight, at least.

"ROX," called Sofia, "COME ON, I GOT THE FILM READY."

I smiled.

Nothing I wanted to be than right here in this moment, even though my mum would have thrown something instead, but I was happy with what I got.

I quickly got dressed and left my room.

As I made it down the stairs, I took a glance at the dress bag that was hung up on the back of the kitchen door.

I knew my mum was with me; I was wearing something of hers.

I looked over to Sofia, who was smiling at me.

I sat down, and she pressed play on the film.

I was nervous, but the excitement was there too.

I was going to become the Luna of the Blue Shadow Moon pack tomorrow and fight too.

Who wouldn't be excited?

I cleared my mind as I leaned back into the couch and cleared my mind.

I needed the quiet.

I needed to prepare for tomorrow and what's thrown at me.
