Did Miranda think that she was still in her prime? She wanted to pick up her books again after all these years since graduation? Dream on! She would be embarrassed once the results were revealed!
Rena chimed in, “I’m also curious after listening to Quincey’s suggestion.”
Cynthia smiled. “Yes, everyone is so curious about your results. Mimi, why don’t you check and show all of us? No need to feel pressured. It will be fine regardless of the score and whether you manage to get in
or not.”
Mindy glanced at her daughter. Instinctively, she wanted to refuse, but Miranda smiled and said, “Sure.”

Everyone gathered around her laptop. Miranda had already entered her admission ticket number and password. Now, all it took was a press of the Enter key to reveal her score.
Miranda said, “Dad, you do it.”
“Me?”
“Yes, You were the one who’checked my college entrance exam scores back then, weren’t you?”
“Alright.” Lionel rubbed his hands together. Taking a deep breath, he pressed the Enter key.
The page started loading for a moment before getting stuck. A loading message was displayed. Everyone! held their breaths for one second, two seconds…
“The results are out!”
Miranda’s score was 412 marks.
Jenny nudged Quincey, who seemed to be in a daze, and whispered, “What’s the total score? 400 marks doesn’t seem that high…”
Quincey’s lips twitched, but no sound came out.
“Why aren’t you saying anything?”
Rena quickly concealed the surprise in her eyes and smiled. “Jenny, the total score is 500. With this score, Mimi’s rank should be in the top three. She might even be the first.”
After listening to Rena’s words, Jenny’s eyes widened in shock. “So Miranda got into Bedford College’s graduate program?”
Cynthia’s face remained expressionless. “To be precise, there are two stages to the postgraduate admission exam, the written test and the interview. There’s still some uncertainty just by looking at her written score.”
Jenny let out a sigh of relief.
She knew that it was too good to be true. How could Miranda get into Bedford College so easily, let alone rank in the top three?
Rena spoke up with a smile, “However, the written test does account for a larger portion of the total score. They won’t eliminate many people from the interviews. Mimi is already considered to have one foot in Bedford College. Congratulations to you, Lionel and Mindy.”

Chapter 0169
Lionel was still in a daze. His daughter, who hadn’t been home for six years, gifted them a villa and had now gotten into a graduate program upon her return!
The tension between him and Miranda stemmed from this issue back then. Lionel believed Miranda shouldn’t have wasted her talent. Pursuing further studies was the proper path for her.
However, Miranda gave up on that path for a man. It was a significant blow to Lionel who had spent over 20 years of hard work on his daughter’s education.
Now, everything seemed to have fallen into place.
“Thank you, Rena.”
Rena continued, “Now Miranda is considered the most highly educated among the younger generation in the Sutton family. That’s really something.”
Quincey’s expression darkened, and Jenny pursed her lips.
Cynthia added, “Let’s wait until the admission letter arrives before saying that, Rena.”
The meal that followed was unusually quiet. Everyone was immersed in their own thoughts. After the meal, everyone left shortly, one after another, without lingering.
It was Mindy’s birthday on January 20th. The rain and snow had finally cleared up, and new buds were sprouting on the lawn. The entire yard was brimming with new life.
Mindy wasn’t fond of sweets, so they didn’t order a cake. Instead, Miranda went to the market and bought some flour. She whipped up some handmade pasta for her mother personally.
Miranda had also chosen a gift in advance. It was a set of classic books that had gone out of print.
She took a long time to replace them. In the end, Miranda finally located them in an obscure online bookstore overseas. It took almost half a month just to get them shipped over.
