Chapter 0556
“Dr. Jefferson, wait up!” Miranda hurried after him.
After finally catching up, Paul turned around and looked at her exasperatedly. “Are you having that much fun?”
She nodded eagerly. “Yes.”
To her, it was simply too much fun.
He sighed. “But your gloves and scarf are soaked.”
“It’s fine,” Miranda quickly replied.
“You said the same thing 15 minutes ago and promised you would go home after playing for a while.”
She blinked in surprise. Did she really say that? Why couldn’t she remember it?
“Let’s go. If you want to play, you must change your gloves, searf, and shoes first,” he said.
Miranda looked down and noticed her boots were completely soaked. She hadn’t even realized, but Paul
did.
“Okay, fine.” She reluctantly followed him inside the building but seized the opportunity to grab the bucket filled with her snow–playing tools from him, “I can carry this, Dr. Jefferson.
He stared at her in disbelief.
She feigned innocence and said, “I didn’t mean to sneak off and play.” As soon as she spoke, she
regretted it.
He remained silent as if anticipating her next move.
After Miranda changed into dry clothes, Paul knocked on her door again.
‘Dr. Jefferson?”
“Do you want to see the snow in the Old City?” he asked.
“Now?”
“Yes,” Paul replied.
“But I thought tickets were sold out.”
“Come with me. You won’t need a ticket,” he said.
Her eyes widened in disbelief. Why would she pass up such an opportunity?
They set off immediately. Upon arrival, Paul guided Miranda through a side entrance to avoid the long line.
Stepping inside, they were greeted by the palace courtyard, where an old well stood next to a blooming apricot tree. They made their way through the front entrance and stepped into the expansive Winter Court
Plaza.
Miranda was instantly captivated by the stunning view before her. It made sense why the online article

said that Elgerson City became a winter wonderland when it snowed and that the Old City looked straight. out of a fairy tale.
She ran to a covered walkway. With snowflakes swirling around her, she glanced back with a smile. “Dr. Jefferson, hurry up! Why are you just standing there? Snow’s falling on your head!
At that moment, one thought echoed in Paul’s mind. If they shared this snowfall today, they would be together for a lifetime.
Miranda paused and called again, “Dr. Jefferson?”
He smiled. “Coming!”
Later that evening, they finally returned home after dining out.
As Miranda lay in bed after her shower, the vivid images of the red walls, blue bricks, and deep white. snow lingered in her mind. The scene was breathtaking.
She couldn’t stop thinking about the person who had stood beside her beneath those red walls, watching the snowfall together.
After obtaining the consent letter, Miranda made another trip to the relevant department and smoothly completed all the paperwork.
With the funding, land, and approvals finalized, they were ready to begin with the lab construction, However, a few important details still needed to be sorted out.
How should the lab be built? Which construction company should they hire? What would the design look like? What specific requirements needed to be met?
Identifying and outlining these requirements wasn’t overly complicated. Within a day, Miranda gathered her thoughts and drafted a basic blueprint.
Now, the only task remaining for Miranda, Madison, and Sebastian was to select the right construction company. If they were going to build their own lab, it had to be executed correctly. They were determined to strive for perfection.
