Chapter 7

I was shaking constantly.

The bracelet was pulled off by me when she was killing me.

And my body was stiff after death, so she couldn’t take it off.

Xena said that I was the obstacle between her and Henry, and without me, they would be the ones getting married.

But she forgot that they were on opposite sides of identity from the very beginning.

They could never be together!

I stared at Henry, hoping he could notice something wrong.

But his eyes were filled with anger, and he said sternly, “That lunatic! I shouldn’t have been soft–hearted in the first place!”

When he turned to face Xena, his expression softened again.

“Did she hurt you? She’s a lunatic, ignore her. I’ll buy you a new bracelet.”

After saying that, he reached out and gently ruffled Xena’s hair.

The indulgence in his eyes was overflowing.

The broken pieces of my heart seemed to pierce into my chest with just the slightest breath.

I was in so much pain that I couldn’t breathe.

Xena held his arm affectionately, and spoke softly, “It’s okay. If Yvette likes it, she can have it. It’s just a bracelet. You’ve been here with me for so long…”

After saying this, she quickly blushed.

She led Henry toward the door.

Henry frowned and said dissatisfiedly, “I’m just taking care of the rescued hostage. Why is she so mad? It’s totally unreasonable! If she could be half as gentle and considerate as you, I wouldn’t be so annoyed!”

When Xena heard the word “hostage“, deep hatred flashed across her eyes.
