After multiple attempts, the call finally connected.

However, surprisingly, a man’s voice answered from the other end.

“Hello, are you a friend of this lady? Please come and pick her up as soon as possible.

Stella furrowed her brow and asked for the address.

After hanging up the phone, Stella rushed over.

Inside the club, Flossie was inebriated and sprawled on a sofa.

Stella paid the bill and looked at Flossie, who was intoxicated and resting on the sofa.

Stella helped her sit up and repeated the question.

Only when she leaned closer did she catch Flossie’s response clearly.

Stella helped Flossie to her feet and, after some effort, got her outside.

They hailed a taxi to Flossie’s provided address, an older district in Seamarsh without an elevator.

Stella was out of breath after helping Flossie to the third floor.

She patted Flossie’s cheek again and asked, “Give me the key.

Stella let out a sigh, rummaged through her bag, found the key, unlocked the door, and entered the apartment.
