Alaric sighed in relief, glad that Dorian wasn't going to make a big deal out of it.

Lemira found it unbelievable. Was Dorian really going to let this slide? Something felt off, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Lucian approached, "Thanks a lot, Mr. Draven. Sorry for the trouble. Don't worry, the Langstons will cover all the following medical expenses, and Eve will take care of you until you're back on your feet."

Dorian coughed, "Well, considering Eve's feelings, making a scene wouldn't be right." So, that should settle it, right?

Although Evelina felt a bit resentful, Dorian's consideration for her made her feel pleased. She looked directly at Lemira, "Lemmy, even though we're letting this go, shouldn't you apologize, given how badly Dorian was injured?" Alaric nodded, "Yeah, you really should apologize, Lemira, come here."

Lucian frowned, "The school doctor was here too. He should be the one apologizing."

Why should Lemira apologize?

Dorian quickly gestured, "No, no, no need for apologies. This is all just formalities. Let's just drop it, okay?"

His cousin was probably still around. Considering his cousin had stood up for the school doctor, and he had agreed not to pursue the matter, if his cousin and the school doctor were to come over.

Chances were, he'd be the one ending up apologizing!

Lucian insisted, "Mr. Draven, you're injured. It's only right they apologize."

"No, really, I don't mind. Let's just forget the whole thing and not talk about it, okay?"

Dorian was genuinely afraid of his cousin and didn't want to face him.

Not just Lemira, but even the rest of the Langstons were surprised that the issue was resolved so easily. Something was definitely off!

Evelina, slightly smug, said, "Thank you, Dorian, for being so generous considering my feelings. I'm really touched. Lucian, since Dorian isn't holding a grudge, let's just let it be." Dorian quickly said, "I need to rest now. Could you all please leave?"

He wanted to avoid any further confrontation.

As the group left the hospital room, Lemira felt a weight lifted off her shoulders, surprised to see that Dorian wasn't as unforgiving as rumors suggested.

Evelina deliberately said, "Lemmy, you should really talk to that school doctor, tell him not to be so impulsive. Not everyone is as forgiving as Dorian."

Lucian nodded, "Eve, I knew you were sensible. We owe you one this time."

Alaric turned to Lemira, "You should stop hanging out with that school doctor and move back in with us. The family won't treat you like before. Can you stop holding a grudge?" Lemira scoffed. She glared at Alaric, "In your dreams. I have nothing to do with all of you. Stay out of my life."

Alaric was about to explode with anger, but Lucian intervened, "Lemmy, let's just leave it at that. You did so well on your exams, we want to throw you a big celebration party. Any wishes or requests, just name them, and I'll make sure they happen."

Evelina, green with envy, clenched her fists, unable to hide her bitterness. She wouldn't let Lemira get away with this so easily. The top scorer, huh? Probably cheated with the principal's help. Narugi

Lemira's sharp gaze made Lucian's heart sink. She took a step back,¿Ã celebration for me? Where do you get the nerve after you all held me back, forcing me to miss classes and play video games?"

"Lemira, that's a bit harsh."

"There's harsher, and who are you to throw a party for me!"

Alaric raised his voice, "Because I'm your brother!"

"Not anymore."
