Lemira heard Alaric's voice but didn't even bother to turn her head. She had nothing to say to anyone from the Langston family anymore.

Lemira got directly into the passenger seat, while Alaric tapped on the window, "Lemira, don't take what Asher said to heart."

Lemira's gaze was icy, "I never take to heart what insignificant people say."

Insignificant people?

A sting of pain shot through Alaric's heart, and he stuttered, "Lemira, Asher's always been like this, cares too much about his pride. You publicly made those remarks, making him feel embarrassed, that's why he's angry. We're still family, aren't we? Does it have to come to this?"

Lemira chuckled, "Family? I cut ties with you all a long time ago. We're no longer family. Better we act like strangers from now on."

Orion stepped on the gas and drove off, leaving Alaric no chance to continue the conversation.

Watching the car disappear, Alaric slumped to the ground, took out his phone to message Lemira, only to realize he had already been deleted. Recalling what he had said to Lemira before, he was filled with regret.

Asher stormed out, fuming, "Where's Lemira? How dare she speak out of turn in front of the media? I must teach her a lesson this time!"

"Asher, she's already gone. We've let her down, and that's why she left the Langston family, we owe her."

"You idiot, still taking Lemira's side? I see she's become arrogant and defiant, all because you and Lucian spoiled her. Now she's relying on that school doctor? Lucian immediately got out of bed, "I'm on my way, try to calm Asher down. We can't let him hurt Lemmy."

The attending doctor protested hurriedly, "Mr. Langston, you're still under treatment, you can't leave."

Lucian yanked out the IV and left the hospital without even changing his clothes. He tried calling Lemira, but there was no answer.

Lucian covered his stomach, feeling

painful for the sickness. [Lemmy where are you? Asher's furious he's lost his senses, don't go back to the apartment.]

Lemira had just stepped out of the

car when she saw Lucian's message and instinctively frowned, "As

Orion, noticing the message on her phone, had a chill in his gaze, "Planning to leave?"

"No, if it's going to end, it should end completely."

Lemira seemed to have made some resolution, looking at Orion, "I can handle this myself."

"Are you sure?"

Orion's expression was grim, the Langstons really were like a bad penny.

Lemira's gaze was determined, "Yes, if they continue to be delusional, it's time they come to their senses."

She already had a plan. Turning to Orion, she said, "I need to use the computer in the study."

Lemira sat at the computer and hacked into the Langston Group's official website.

In her past life, an internal technician of Asher's company turned traitor leaking business secrets and nearly bankrupting the Langston Group.

It was she who had fixed the internal system's vulnerabilities and even found the traitor, saving Asher from crisis.
