Lucian massaged his temples, "But he can't be the butler anymore, demoted to a common servant. I've decided to head to Orvin for new opportunities, so I'll leave him here to keep you company while you redo the year." He felt the Langston family had been more than generous with Evelina. If she couldn't seize the opportunity, she had only herself to blame.

Through gritted teeth, Evelina said, "Thanks, Lucian!"

All she needed was to keep Zack for now.

But she wasn't planning on staying behind. She was determined to follow them to Orvin! There was no way she was going to be left behind!

As Evelina watched Lemira's car drive away, her eyes were filled with malice. One day, she vowed, she would have Lemira under her foot!

In the car.

Lemira hummed a tune, delighted, "When I dealt with that fake angel earlier, my hands went numb from the punishment! The look on her face was absolutely priceless!"

She thought Evelina should try her luck in showbiz! Perhaps she'd even replace a career fitting for a fake angel!

Orion, seeing her in high spirits, realized his worries had been unnecessary. Lemira had grown much stronger!

He asked blandly, "When do you plan on leaving?"

"After I sort out the paperwork tomorrow, I can book a flight to Orvin."

Lemira glanced at him, realizing she wouldn't see Orion as often once she left. After all, he was the school's doctor, with his work here.

Orion nodded at her words, "Then, let's all have dinner together tomorrow night."

He could see the unspoken words in Lemira's eyes, but he couldn't afford to be sentimental. It was time to let go.

The next day, Lemira went through with her paperwork. She was now free from the Langston family's influence.

Returning to her apartment, she found a table laden with dishes. Thaddeus stood by, "Lemon, tonight we celebrate your new journey." "Thanks."

As Lemira sat down, she said to Thaddeus, "I hope tomorrow's expo goes smoothly."

"Me too."

Lemira instinctively looked at Orion, "Will you be joining us tomorrow?"

After all, it was about the company's new project.

Orion's lips barely moved, "I'll sit this one out. You two go ahead, Thaddeus is the boss after all."

Hearing he wouldn't join them

dimmed Lemira's spirits slightly. She had been preparing for this day, yet now that it was here, parting felt bittersweet.

Thaddeus tried to lighten the mood, "Every gathering has its end, but we'll meet again."

Lemira held her drink, her mood down.

After dinner, Thaddeus stepped out to the balcony to make a call.

Lemira faced the man across the table, "I'm about to leave. Don't you have anything to say?"

Orion responded calmly, facing her gaze, "Live happily. Do what you want without worrying too much." "Is that all?"

Disappointment flickered across Lemira's face.

Orion avoided her gaze, "Once school starts, focus on your studies. Don't rush into dating."

Lemira laughed suddenly, "When I date is my choice."

Orion was choked on it, "You're still young."

"I'm already of age. Besides, aren't you dating someone? Though, I've never seen your girlfriend." Lemira was curious about the type of person he'd choose. She really wanted to know.

Orion,

to hide his

awkwardness, poured himself som wine, "Why do you need to meet girlfriend?"

"Aren't we friends? If I had a boyfriend, I'd introduce him to you guys."

Lemira's demeanor was calm. Orion, feeling a twinge of discomfort, sipped his wine and noticed Lemira

reaching for a glass. Conte

Instinctively, he stopped her, "Kid, you can't handle your liquor. Better not drink."

"Are you going to watch over me forever?"

Lemira's gaze was serene, locking eyes with the man in front of her.
