When They Beg, I Rise! -
Chapter 95
Lemira didn't care if Alaric could recognize her voice after finishing her piece.
She dove into the game, ready for her first battle of the day! She was well aware that making it to this level meant her opponents were no slouches. Her first match kicked off against a berserker, tough as nails and hard to take down.
Her opponent taunted, "Girl, beg for mercy now and maybe I'll go easy on you. After all, a spot won by hiring a ringer won't save you." Lemira didn't bother with a comeback; she let her gameplay do the talking.
Five minutes later, her opponent was eating dust. Unsurprisingly, Lemira came out on top!
After each battle, there was a three-minute breather. The chat in Lemira's streaming room exploded with reactions.
[Where's that cocky guy now?]
Watching the stream, Alaric couldn't believe his ears. The streamer's voice was a dead ringer for Lemira's.
How could that be? Was he hearing things?
Alaric turned to his secretary next to him, asked incredulously, "Did the streamer just speak?"
The secretary nodded, "Yeah, sounds like a young girl. Something wrong?"
Alaric didn't respond; he was fixated on the stream, his emotions in turmoil.
SweetLemon. How had he not made the connection before? Lemira's childhood nickname was Lemon.
Suddenly, Alaric found it hard to breathe! If she was indeed Lemira, he couldn't even begin to contemplate the implications!
At the moment, Evelina approached, "Alaric, What's wrong? You look pale."
Alaric's Adam's apple bobbed slightly, "That streamer's voice, it's just like Lemira's! Could they be the same person?"
"Alaric, after hearing that streamer yesterday, I wondered if it might be Lemmy too. But I figured it's just a coincidence. After all, people having similar faces or voices isn't that strange, right?"
Alaric was reassured at the words, "You're probably right. It should be just a coincidence."
He didn't want to believe it could really be Lemira! He didn't dare to think of the possibility!
The secretary excitedly added, "Boss, the streamer's fans have hit 200,000, and there are 100,000 people watching the stream!"
Alaric glanced back at once, "That fast?"
"Yes, she hasn't lost a single match since she started the battle, and she's been winning effortlessly each time!"
"If we could recruit her to our team, the finals would be in the bag."
A glint of exhilaration shone in Alaric's eyes. Yes, he felt the same way.
Evelina, standing on the sidelines, struggled to maintain her composure. If they brought this person onto the team, where would that leave her?
This year's breakout internet newcomer award, Alaric might just hand it to this new sensation. Jealousy seethed within Evelina, but she dared not voice it.
After streaming for two hours and securing a ten-match winning streak, Lemira advanced to the top 100.
Seeing the result, she smiled. She massaged her sore wrists, noticing the chat continued to flood with gifts.
Lemira turned on her mic, "Thanks

to climb the ranks further.
This is my first time streaming, so I'm still learning the ropes.
[Goddess, can you drop some gunner tips?]
[Yeah, I wanna be a gunner too, taking out those jerks!]
[Ms. Lemon, you can't log off just yet. You gotta hang with us, chat a bit, shoot the breeze.]
Lemira responded, "About the gunner guide, it might not be able to finish today, but let's talk about the ten matches I just won, and how exactly I beat them."
She opened the replay of her matches, breaking them down piece by piece. Her voice was calm, her analysis clear and insightful.
