Gilbert frowned. "Then go replace her! Why are you asking me for help?"

"I've tried, okay? Her agent and assistant have no clue where she is! Her phone's off, and she's not at her place. Mr. Gilbert, I'm at my wit's end here!" Gilbert massaged his temples, "Alright, I got it. Wait for my call."

"Sure thing, Mr. Gilbert."

After hanging up, Gilbert immediately dialed Francis Johnson.

He laid out the situation, "Bro, any idea where Caroline might be?"

He figured Caroline must've had another spat with Francis and decided to lay low for a bit.

However, Francis was clueless. "She's unreachable?"

"Bro!" Gilbert was taken aback, "She is your fiancée, and you're asking me?"

Francis let out a barely audible sigh, "I'm on it. I'll handle it."

Right away, Francis turned to Sawyer. "Can you check where Caroline flew off to?"

"Right away, Mr. Francis."

Sawyer quickly dug up Caroline's flight details and reported back to Francis. "Mr. Francis, Ms. Bennett has flown to Switzerland."

Around the same time, Francis received a message from Caroline.

[Francis, I can't fathom how things spiraled out of control.

I admit, I was out of line with what I said last time. I shouldn't have taken it out on James; he's just a kid.

But did you ever stop to think about me? My love, suddenly you have a child. What am I supposed to do with that?

Maybe you're right. I just can't deal with it. Let's call it quits.

Don't come after me. I need some time alone to think.]

Gilbert called again, inquiring about Caroline, "Bro, any news from Caroline?"

"Yes."

Francis truthfully relayed Caroline's message, sharing it with his brother.

"What..." Gilbert was at a loss for words. "Bro, what are you planning to do?"

Could it be that they were just going to break up?

Francis sighed softly, "What plan? It's always been up to her. Whether we got married or broke up, it was her call." Francis then asked his brother, "So, what do you think I should do?"

Gilbert was speechless; he had no suggestions.

Late at night.

Southern District Sanatorium.

Since Rebecca was blind, her caregiver shared a room with her to provide assistance whenever needed.

At this hour, both Rebecca and her caregiver were asleep.

Suddenly, Rebecca threw off her blankets and stood up.

"Ms. White?"

As she headed to the door, her caregiver woke up, rubbing her and getting up, "Do you need

something? Need to use the

bathroom, or maybe you're thirsty?"

But Rebecca, as if she hadn't heard, opened the door and walked straight out. "Ms. White?" The caregiver, worried she might fall, quickly followed. Outside, Rebecca extended her arms, groping around aimlessly.

"Ms. White?" The caregiver frowned. "What are you looking for?"

Rebecca continued her search without any response.

Watching her, the caregiver felt a shiver down her spine, worried, "Is Ms. White sleepwalking?"

Then, Rebecca approached the couch, picked up a throw pillow, and cradled it in her arms, gently patting it.

As if soothing a child?

The caregiver clapped a hand over her mouth in shock, a cold sweat breaking out.
