Sherilyn set her fork and knife down, dabbing her mouth with a napkin before taking a small sip from her water glass. This was the perfect moment to bring it up... "Gilbert."

Sherilyn hesitated for a moment, her voice light and faint, "You mentioned getting married before. Does that still stand?"

"?"

Gilbert suddenly looked up, his expression turning cold, "Why wouldn't it? Are you having second thoughts?"

"It's not me who's having second thoughts."

Sherilyn shook her head, reminding him, "Do you think, under the current circumstances, we can still make it to the altar?" "Why can't we?" Gilbert dropped his utensils, locking eyes with her.

"You're asking me?"

Sherilyn smirked, "Have you forgotten? You were just head over heels for Caroline, ready to die beside her if it came to that?" "What do you mean?"

Gilbert's gaze grew complex, "Jealous? I thought you didn't like me."

"That's right."

Sherilyn nodded calmly, "I don't like you, but Caroline does! She adores you, and yet you're planning to marry me. Aren't you afraid of breaking her heart?" Hearing this, the complexity in Gilbert's eyes faded away in an instant.

He had thought...

Was he deluding himself, hoping Sherilyn was finally showing jealousy? A fire ignited in his chest, burning fiercely, scorching his entire being with pain! "You really hate her, don't you?"

Gilbert let out a low chuckle through clenched teeth, fighting the pain that spread throughout his body, and said hoarsely, "Wouldn't her heartbreak please you?" "!!"

Sherilyn paused, instinctively getting angry.

She held back, however, and with a laugh born from sheer fury, she gave him a sideways glare.

"Gilbert, you're truly despicable!"

Not even his selfless love for another could deter his determination to force her into this marriage!

With a forceful grip, she slammed her glass onto the table with a 'snap', stood up, and made to leave.

"Sherilyn."

Her wrist was caught, and with a single stretch of his arm, Gilbert pulled Sherilyn close, wrapping his arms around her.

His cheek pressed against her chest, his voice muffled.

"She doesn't like me. She wasn't

trying to end her life because of her

feelings for me... It's her leg; she can't walk, and that's why she's upset."

Sherilyn looked down, puzzled.

Was that really what he thought?

Was he deluding himself, or was it just stubbornness?

Could she really not escape this terrible marriage?

...

Jenna had been sick for a couple of days, and by the time she was better, Sherilyn returned to the film set to continue shooting. g.

She had only one scene that day, a few shots.

belongs to en.Narugi. My

Whenever she wasn't being filmed, she watched the others perform.

"Sherilyn."

Someone tapped her shoulder, and she turned to see a crew member. "Someone's looking for you outside."

"Alright, thank you."

Sherilyn thanked him with a smile, wondering who it could be. Who was looking for her?

She walked to the entrance but saw no one. After all, she hardly had any friends in Sunhaven.

Could the crew member have mistaken her for someone else?

Shaking her head, Sherilyn turned to go back.

"Sherilyn!"

Suddenly, she heard someone call her name.

"Hmm?"

Sherilyn looked up to see a young man standing by a nearby

flowerbed, tall and seemingly in his early twenties, with handsome

features, smiling and walking towards her.

"You are...?"

Sherilyn searched her brain but couldn't replace any information about the young man.

Could it be, a fan? Did she actually have fans now?
