Chapter 256

“Spill it, what’s up?” Natalie offered Gracia a cup of coffee with a thud on the table in front of her and said. Gracia pulled her gaze from the window and met Natalie in silence.

Natalie caught that pitiful look in Gracia’s eyes and felt a wave of nausea.

If she didn’t know Gracia that well, it would be a different story, but after over a decade of friendship, she

knew her like the back of her hand.

“Did you get a paparazzo to take some sneaky shots outside?” Natalie glanced out the window, probing.

“No,” Gracia replied softly.

While talking, she fiddled with her phone, seemingly sending a message.

Then, she looked up at Natalie and said quietly, “I just came over to talk. You and Brian have no future. Someday you’ll see why I say this. If you keep deluding yourself, you’ll regret it.”

“So I should be thankful for your kind warning?” Natalie asked with a hint of sarcasm.

“You’re okay with being this cheap? Brian has been with so many, and that doesn’t bother you at all?” Gracia frowned slightly, firing back.

“Yeah,” Natalie replied nonchalantly.

She didn’t need to dig deep to know about the video of Gracia undressed. Natalie chose to trust Brian. If he said nothing happened, then that was the truth.

No matter how much Gracia tried to stir the pot, Natalie wouldn’t believe it.

In the middle of their standoff, Gracia’s phone buzzed with a message.

She snatched it up quickly, furtively, as if she didn’t want Natalie to see it.

Natalie could guess with her eyes closed that Gracia was staging something. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be sitting there with the face of a victim

“Let me teach you a thing or two today, Natalie said, lifting an eyebrow subtly

As she spoke, Natalie suddenly grabbed Gracia’s wrist, which was holding the coffee cup

“What are you doing!” Gracia jerked back as Natalie tightened her grip, unable to shake her off, and winced.

“I took an elective abroad once, where we covered a theory called the victim complex,” Natalie said with

a faint smile.

T’m just reminding you that tricks like framing only work once or twice. If you use them too much, you don’t need me to tell you that others will catch on to your game. I hope you’ll remember this lesson. Stop bothering mer

With that Natalie twisted Gracia’s hand, spilling the still–scalding coffee all over Gracia’s lap.

“Ah!” Natalie screamed, staggering back a few steps, frantically shaking off the coffee. “Gracia, what have you done?

Chapter 256

Natalie’s cry caught the attention of everyone else in the hotel lobby

“I didn’t pour it on her!” Gracia was stunned, then immediately began to explain desperately to the

onlookers.

The crowd looked on with mixed expressions. Given Natalie’s reddened hand and neck, it was obvious whether she had spilled it or not

A security guard from the lobby started walking towards them.

Rosie, who had been lurking in the corner watching, rushed over at the sight of Natalie being splashed Without a word, she slapped Gracia hard across the face!
