Will You Marry Me, Again -
Chapter 15
Chapter 15 Don’t Ever Love Me AgainMaja froze for a moment. Then she looked up at him and shook her head with a smile.
“No, | don’t regret it. As you know, marrying you has always been my dream. It may seem unfair that my mother worked with yourgrandpa to force you to marry me, but | wasn’t aware
of it until later.”
Maia then said, “Anyway, it doesn’t matter anymore, does it?”
“The reason?” he asked.
“Huh?” Maia looked at him, puzzled.
“Why did you insist on marrying me?” He thought there must be a reason.Maia fell silent.
When Rosa was still alive, she was a legendary businesswoman in charge of Burgess Winery and Starlight Entertainment. Forthat reason, many men wanted to marry Maia.
However, she only had eyes for Cedric and always followed him wherever he went. She always smiled at him even if he washighly annoyed with her.
Before Maia could speak, Cedric added, “Don’t tell me it’s love, okay? We hardly knew each
other back then.”
As Maia gazed at him, she recalled the memory of when she was 12 and trapped in a warehouse with a boy.“| want to marry you when | grow up. Will you marry me?”
“Of course | will!”
“Then let’s pinky swear. No backsies for 100 years, okay?”
Later on, a raging fire surrounded them.
When she was crying out for her mother, the boy hugged and shielded her with his body while gently saying, “Don’t be afraid, I'llalways protect you.
Unfortunately, the boy later suffered third-degree burns and a severe head injury, which caused him to forget about that day andher.
When she told Cedric the story, he brushed it off as a cliched tale. He didn’t know that the boywas him.
He had forgotten all about it, and she foolishly waited for him to regain his memory. However, instead of recalling it, he hated hermore and more as time passed.

Cedric took a sip, too, and it was indeed not great. He wondered why the butler bought it.
“Next time, let me have a taste of your wine, okay?”
Maia was thrilled because he had never made a request before. Without thinking much, she answered, “Sure, it’s a deal!”Seeing her so happy, Cedric said nothing else. The dining room fell into an uncomfortable silence again.
Gazing at the snow falling outside, Maia said, “When | first married you, | used to imagine we could have snowball fights andbuild snowmen with our child, but...
Knowing it was no longer possible, she downed the wine in one gulp. Soon, a few more glasses were consumed.
When she was about to pour the fifth glass, Cedric grabbed her hand and said, “That's enough. You're drunk.”
“Hey, | can hold my liquor.” Maia’s face was flushed, and her beautiful eyes were sparkling- Thank you,
Cedric, for not chasing me off and dining with me. I'll remember this day forever..
She was determined to remember it until her death.
Cedric squeezed her hand and asked, “Do you regret it, Maia?”
