Cedric smiled at Maia’s mischief. He pinched her nose softly and said lovingly, “You're so adorable.”Did he really just call her adorable after she treated him that way?

Oswald was carrying the pot of tomato soup to the living room when Baz suddenly ran into him. The pot fell, causing a loudcrash, and the entirety of its contents spilled on the floor! “Baz!” Oswald was furious, “Watch where you're going! Why are you insuch a hurry? Look what you’ve done. All that soup has gone to waste!”

“I'm sorry, Oswald!” Baz said, pathetically. “| have something urgent to tell Mr. Cedric. | was in such a hurry | didn’t see you. Areyou hurt?”

“I'm fine. It's such a shame about the soup, though! Sigh... Ms. Maia even said she'll feed Mr. Cedric! You should learn to readthe room. You've gone and ruined this romantic moment!”

Baz was a little embarrassed, but he did not have a choice. Did Oswald think he would dare to topple the entire pot of tomatosoup if his master had not given him the order?

The servants around them lowered their heads and left quickly. Even Oswald and Baz took off. They were the only people in theliving room.

“You broke the rules, Cedric!” Maia gritted her teeth, glared at him, and tried to hold him off.

He chuckled, “The rules are only in effect if we sign the contract. | have yet to see a printed document.”10
