Tess entered the office and shook Jordan’s hand. “Hey, Mr. Jordan, you're back!"

“Long time no see.” Jordan nodded courteously.

“Aunt Tess, what brought you here?” Maia was surprised that she had come.

She then signed the documents and returned them to Jordan. “Thanks, Jordan. I'll tell Nigel tohandle the lawsuit.”

Taking the documents, he smiled and said, “I'll leave you two alone then.

After Jordan left, Tess sat on the sofa and asked, “Who are you suing, Maia? It’s better to take it easy since you just took overthe company.”

Maia shook her head. “Jordan found out that Theo had been taking money from the company.”

“He's just like his dad,” Tess sighed. “I heard many big corporations wanted to hire Jordan, but he turned them all down. You’vedone a great job, Maia! Your mom would be proud of you.

She gave her niece a thumbs-up.

Shaking her head, Maia said truthfully, “Jordan only came back because he missed working here. Besides, he also felt that therewas something fishy about Mom’s death and wanted to help me get to the bottom of it.”

Holding up a cup of tea, Tess was stunned. “What did you say? There’s something fishy about Rosa’s death. Didn't theinvestigation report state that she killed herself due to depression?”

Tess‘ eyeswelled up with tears.

“| didn’t say much over dinner the other day because Errol was around, and | had to rush to locate Jordan. | got my hands onmom’s medical records for several years, and she wasn’t suffering from depression or any kind of mental issues. Even if she didkill herself, it wasn’t because of depression. Jordan said mom was in a good mood that day and had no reason to kill herself.”

Fighting back her tears, Tess said emotionally, “Yes, yes, we have to replace out what happened and catch whoever did this toRosa!”

“We will, Aunt Tess.” Maia was determined to bring the culprit to justice.

Tess wiped tears from her face. “I’m sure you can do it. Let’s not talk about this anymore. | can’t breathe knowing that your mommight be murdered, you know.”

Changing the subject, she said, “Anyway, I’m here to tell you something important.”

“What is it?”

“Errol has been secretly dating Celia Trivett, the brand ambassador for Pinot Nuage.”

Taken aback for a moment, Maia chuckled. “Really? Errol has a girlfriend?”

This was the best news she had heard for a while. She always worried Errol might have trouble replaceing a girlfriend due to hisdisability.

“Yeah, he made her his girlfriend three months after she took the job. | guess he’s quite a charmer, huh?” Tess beamed with joy.Maia winked. “We have good genes, don’t we?”

Tess laughed. “Of course we do.”

“Anyway, Celia’s contract is about to expire, so Errol asked her about becoming an artist for Starlight Entertainment. | think it's agreat idea.

“Firstly, with you around, no one will take advantage of her. Secondly, you can ensure she won't cheat on your brother. You knowhow things are in the entertainment world.”
