Winning Her Heart Back (Emelie Hoven ) -
Chapter 905
Chapter 905 Extra Story of Working Off the Books
By the time everyone finished eating, chatting, and having fun, it was already past
midnight. The drivers then sent everyone home.
This time, Yennifer stayed with Greta at Alderbrook in Cedonia. She didn't return to her old home, probably to avoid stirring up old memories.
Emelie and William, however, stayed at the old house.
As soon as William walked through the door, he scooped Emelie up in his arms. Instinctively, Emelie wrapped her arms around his neck and looked down at him in confusion. "What are you doing?"
Without saying a word, William tilted his head up and kissed her. Emelie didn't resist. She let him kiss her as he carried her upstairs into the bedroom and the bathroom.
He placed her on the bathroom counter and began kissing and lightly nibbling her neck. Emelie squinted her eyes slightly.
Since she hadn't gone to work that day, her outfit was more casual.
She wore a champagne-colored satin suit that shimmered slightly, which perfectly complemented her skin tone. The notched lapel jacket was vintage and elegant, and the A- line skirt was a mix of a front skirt and back pants.
Though four months pregnant, her belly was only slightly noticeable, so her clothing hadn't changed much.
Underneath, she wore a sleeveless, rhinestone-embellished tank top. The rounded neckline exposed her fair neck, now marked with several of William's kisses, and her jacket had slipped off her shoulders.
Unable to help herself, Emelie hooked one leg around him. The warmth of his breath made her skin tingle, and she couldn't help but giggle. Grabbing his hair, she asked in a rare, soft voice, "What are you doing? Do you want it?"
William looked up. His eyes were slightly flushed with desire. His voice was huskier than usual. "I just want to kiss you all over."
It was a request she couldn't refuse.
Emelie tugged on his hair and, with a casual flick of her wrist, removed her pearl bracelet and watch, setting them aside to keep them from getting wet. This gesture was her way of giving in to his sudden desire.
William smiled, tossed their clothes into the laundry basket, and, while unfastening her back clasp, carried her into the shower.
Though they were past the first trimester and hadn't been intimate in a long time, William focused entirely on her that night.
He used his lips and hands, familiar enough with her to know exactly how to make her happy.
The sound of running water filled the air.
Since they were the only ones in the house, the occasional moans didn't matter. However, Emelie was reserved by nature, and no matter how much he coaxed, she rarely let herself go.
The most she'd do was, at the peak of her pleasure, let out a soft sound, like a stray cat running across the old rooftop.
The rest of the time, she'd bite her lip and hold back while clutching William's shoulders or hair in restraint.
After the first time, William carried her out of the shower. Her cheeks were flushed, her skin warm and soft as she leaned weakly against him.
William found her irresistible. He set her down on the tatami mat by the window, where she loved to sit. Emelie didn't quite understand but was soon kissed a second time.
He couldn't get enough of kissing her.
Though it was her being taken care of, it still took a toll on her stamina. After the second round, all Emelie could do was gasp for breath.
William wiped her clean with a wet towel and carried her back to bed.
Emelie lay half-sitting against the pillows. Her face was still flushed, and her body was still burning as if her blood was boiling.
William helped her into her nightgown. The fabric was soft and silky against her skin. After dressing her, he kissed the butterfly-shaped neckline.
Emelie flinched slightly as her eyes lowered to look at the lower part of his body. She murmured, "What about you?"
"Are you offering to help me?" William asked while taking her hand and kissing the back of it and her fingers.
Emelie thought about it and felt it wouldn't be impossible. She started to sit up.
William chuckled softly. He couldn't bear to see her exert herself when she was too exhausted to even keep her eyes open. After kissing her lips, he said, "You sleep. I'll take a shower."
Emelie blinked. Her heartbeat and breathing still hadn't fully settled, but William was already tucking her in. Soon after, she drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
The next morning.
Emelie woke up naturally.
She opened her eyes and saw a pristine white ceiling.
At first, she was confused. Hmm? Where was the starry ceiling she installed last month? Looking around again, she noticed that even the curtains weren't the ones from her house.
A flash of realization struck her, and she sat up to scan her surroundings. This place was completely unfamiliar. This wasn't the old house.
She also vaguely sensed that the bed beneath her was moving. No, it wasn't the bed. The entire space was moving.
Immediately, she called out, "William? William!"
William's voice came from outside. "I'm here."
He seemed to be busy with something. After reassuring her, he appeared a couple of minutes
later while holding a plate of freshly washed and cut fruit.
Emelie had already jumped out of bed and rushed to the window. She opened the blinds.
All she saw was a vast sea of clouds, soft like cotton, stretching out under the blue sky that seemed to have no end.
She stared for a long time before turning around to ask William, "Are we... in the sky right
now?"
William found her choice of words amusing. He walked over and gently pulled her onto the couch. "We're on a plane, Angel. A private jet."
Emelie was even more confused. "Why am I on a private jet? How did I get here? Where are
we going?"
"You were exhausted last night and slept deeply. I carried you on board. We're headed to Thalassa right now." William sat her down and offered her a piece of watermelon.
The watermelon was sweet, juicy, and refreshing.
With his gaze locked on hers, he added, "Angel, everything's taken care of. Isn't it time we finally go on our long-overdue honeymoon?"
As Emelie watched the watermelon juice drip down his fingers to his wrist, she couldn't help but recall how he had kissed her the night before.
She swatted his hand away and acted upset. "Now I know why you wore me out last night! It was all part of your plan to make sure I'd sleep through this!"
Ever since getting pregnant, she had been a deep sleeper. As long as he was gentle, it wasn't easy to wake her up.
Still, the fact that she had slept through the whole ride from the house to the airport was ridiculous.
Emelie could only think it was because, with him by her side, she felt too safe and slept too deeply.
In the end, she realized she had been tricked.
She kicked his shin. "Why didn't you at least discuss this with me? My work isn't even
sorted out yet. I'm in the middle of acquiring a food company. I can't leave right now.
"And what about my lucky plant and money tree? My mom gave those to me! Did you take care of them? I put them by the window to catch some cool air, but they can't stay in the sun, or they'll die! And also... Mmph!"
William chose to silence her with a kiss.
Emelie fell back onto the couch. William held the back of her head with one hand while the other was braced against the couch, keeping his weight off her.
She was fuming, yet unable to stop herself from kissing him back. She gripped his shirt tightly.
William pulled away just enough to meet her dreamy gaze and smiled. He gently laid her head back down and caressed the soft curve of her ear.
"Let your new VP handle work, and let Ms. Hardy take care of your personal matters. They'll both do a great job. Angel, you don't have to carry everything on your shoulders. Life doesn't always have to go as planned, and sometimes, unexpected things happen."
Emelie wasn't really that mad. Besides, the deed was already done. She huffed, "You make it sound so easy."
William kissed her lips lightly. "Weren't you curious about Thalassa? I saw the look on your face last night when your mom mentioned it. Wouldn't you be happy to visit now?" Emelie had indeed been interested and had been thinking about visiting when she had time. But given her current position, it was hard to say when she'd actually have any free time.
In the end, she figured it was better to just go with William's spontaneous plan. The rest could be dealt with later.
William stood up and pulled Emelie to her feet as well. She looked around the cabin and asked, "This plane doesn't look like mine, right?"
"I borrowed it from Jayden. I also had him arrange our Thalassa trip with a professional
travel concierge. Everything should be ready by the time we land."
"Do you have the money for this?"
William sighed. "No. I had him cover it for now. I'll figure out how to pay him back when we return."
Emelie smirked. "Did Mr. Gleamfield laugh at you?"
William felt helpless. "He did. He laughed so hard he couldn't stand up straight."
Emelie bit into a strawberry, then playfully nipped at his fingers. "Serves you right. You can work off your debt in Thalassa."
If he had to work, William would rather work for his wife.
He gently cupped her chin and kissed her. He was eagerly pitching himself. He began by advertising his cost-effective advantage by saying, "If you buy my daytime, I'll throw in my nighttime services too-day and night. And it's only half the price. What do you think?" Emelie replied, "Three-day trial. If I'm not satisfied, I'll fire you without pay." William said, "Angel, you're even tougher than I am."
