Chapter 170

Chapter 170

They parked the car in a farmhouse. There were colored lights hanging from the trees in the yard, making a gorgeous sight. After the driver and Liam opened the car door for them, Patricia got out of thecar and instantly felt a gust of cold wind, causing her to shrink into her coat. Good thing she had Isaac'sclothes, or she would have to freeze to death in the countryside.

Seeing that Isaac was standing nearby and waiting for her, she quickly caught up to him.

He took her in his embrace and said, "You'll be warmer this way."

His voice was low and cold, but it brought warmth to Patricia. She was about to dodge his arms, butwhen he hugged her, she felt much warmer than before. Hence, she didn't think too much about it andallowed him to walk into the house with her in his arms.

There were only a few of them in the dining hall. Percy and Nikola sat around the stove, while thedrivers and the other staff were at the next few tables.

As it was nice and toasty when they entered, Patricia retreated from Isaac's arms.

Seeing she was heading toward Liam's table, he reminded her in a nonchalant voice, "You'll be sittingwith us."

Hence, she could only listen to her superior and took a seat next to Nikola and the others.

Nikola had finished reading the menu and said to them, "We can eat grilled venison tonight. They'd justslaughtered it today, so it's very fresh." They parked the car in a farmhouse.

Percy poured a cup of tea before putting it in front of Patricia. "Miss Aniston, have some hot tea towarm yourself up."

He could see that she was so cold that her small face had turned red, especially at her nose. She hadvery delicate features and pale skin that flushed red at the slightest hint of cold.

Patricia smiled at him. "Thank you."

Whenever she saw Percy, she would think of Darcie. Holding the hot cup of tea in her hands, shelightly took a small sip, feeling her body warm up in an instant.

"Young Master Henderson, I have some good news for you. Poppy has found a new bone marrowdonor, so you don't have to feel guilty anymore."

Percy suddenly spat out a mouthful of water, and a trace of surprise flashed past his eyes. "Really?"

The woman, Darcie, had a one-month agreement with him that if she made him satisfied, he woulddonate his bone marrow to her daughter. After spending time with her for the past few days, he had tosay that he enjoyed it quite much, and he wouldn't be happy if she went against her word. At that

thought, Percy's expression suddenly darkened, and he became distracted.

Isaac said calmly, "That's good. Percy can't donate his, and she's been saved now."

Patricia nodded. "Yes! Otherwise, I'd feel bad for Poppy."

Nikola held the picture of the beauty in his hand and showed it to them. "Look at my beauty. Isn't shegorgeous?"

Patricia frowned and glanced at it, whispering, "She's a little chubby."

Saying that, she laughed. As expected, they regarded chubbier bodies as the beauty standard backthen.

Nikola had sharp ears, and he heard her words as well, so he asked, "Tricia, what did you just say?"

Every time he saw this girl, his knees would go weak. After all, things never ended well for himwhenever they met. Could the world give him a break today? He was truly at his limit.

Patricia shook her head. "I said that it looks great."

Hearing that, Nikola was overjoyed, and he suddenly stood up. "Right! Tricia's taste is better than therest of you. Both of you said she was chubby, but this was the beauty standard back then. Also, there'sa legend that says she'll appear in your dreams at night. I'm planning to meet this ancient beautytonight."

As he spoke, a cheeky grin slipped across his face, and he had already begun to wonder how he would

greet the beauty when he saw her. Should I say 'Hi,' or should I say 'Greetings, my lady'?

All of a sudden, Patricia yelped, "Young Master Ortega, y-your painting…"

Meanwhile, the man in question was still immersed in his daydreams and did not realize that hispainting had already caught on fire.
