You Hit My Heart
Chapter 115

Cecelia was really stunned.

Even after all the things she had been through, at this moment, she stillfelt shocked.

In front of her, the girl who saved her today, was Joyce?

Joyce sat down and respectfully asked, "Auntie, what would you like todrink? Coffee? Or lemon juice?"

"How about lemon juice? You just had an asthma attack, so somethingrefreshing is appropriate.” Joyce directly made the choice for Cecelia."Good." Cecelia softly nodded her head. The girl in front of her wasbold and decisive. She asked just politely but actually had a decision inmind, quite like her younger days.

The waiter quickly brought two glasses of lemonade, as well as a plateof exquisite afternoon tea snacks.

Out of courtesy, Joyce thought it would be better to have lemonade forherself as well.

Cecelia had come here today for Charlotte. She had never doneanything like this in her life, to make things difficult for a commoner girlbecause of her status. However, she was too guilty, had owed Charlottetoo much, and now she just wanted to do everything she could to makeup for Charlotte.

However, the girl in front of her was so beautiful, kind, intelligent, calm, and sincere, and most importantly just saved herself.

She looked into Joyce's clear eyes and couldn't say any of the wordsthat she had prepared in her mind before.

"Auntie, I think you have heard that Luther and I were only marriedunder false pretenses. At that time, we just wanted to make Luther'sgrandmother Stephanie happy and without regrets. In fact, we werealready prepared to go through a divorce, but we didn't expect that themarriage certificate was accidentally exposed. For various reasons, thedivorce can only be delayed for a while longer." Joyce took the initiativeto explain.

“I'm sorry, I didn't know that Charlotte and Luther were in love at first.Although I didn't want to intervene, I'm sorry for the damage I did toCharlotte's body and mind.” She bit her lip and said sincerely.

Cecelia picked up the lemon juice, took a sip, and suddenly changedthe subject, "How is Stephanie's health now?"

"Grandma's condition is not very good. Her cancer's already at theterminal stage. She relies on painkillers every day to maintain her life. She spends more time sleeping and less time awake." When it came toher grandmother, Joyce's mood dropped, and she forced a smile, "Butthe doctor says it's a miracle that she's lasted two more months. I'malso content that I can spend one more day with her now."

"I think that thanks to your company, Stephanie has been able to holdon. I should pay a visit to her someday. The Heath family and theWarner family have always been close friends, and Stephanie was awoman I respected and admired for her abilities when she was young. Inever thought she would suffer from such an illness in her later years, which is really sad.” Cecelia said with a real sigh.

"Joyce, I see you have a good heart, so I guess you grew up in a lovingfamily?" Cecelia asked with genuine curiosity. With her experience inreading people, this kind of sunny, kind, and innocent girl often grew upin a loving family. Charlotte, on the contrary, was careful and well-rounded. It was all her fault that she had lost her child when she wasstill so young and failed to give her child sufficient love from an earlyage.

Joyce froze, "Auntie, don't you know? Charlotte and I grew up in thesame orphanage.”

"What?" Cecelia was genuinely shocked and nearly spilled thelemonade in her hand, "You and Charlotte grew up in the sameorphanage?"

"Hmm." Joyce nodded gently, "Charlotte didn't mention it?"

"No. She just said you went to the same college.”

"Oh, that's right too." Joyce smiled faintly, confidently, and calmly.
