You Hit My Heart
Chapter 1269

He subconsciously yanked Joyce back, "It's late today, everyone istired, rest early.”

Joyce broke away from Luther and gave him a slight glare, she stillwanted to talk to her mother for a few minutes. Besides, it wasn'timpossible for her to stay with Cecelia.

"Go back, Joyce, and get some rest for the next two days." Ceceliapatted Joyce's shoulder, "Go ahead.”

"All right. Call me if you need anything."

Joyce waved her hand reluctantly.

After getting into Luther's car, she reclined in her seat.

The road in the suburbs, there is no street light, the surrounding area isdark, only car lights to light up the front.

Luther drove on, glancing now and then at Joyce beside him, wholooked tired.

It was only when things were over and quiet that Joyce felt a suddenloosening of the taut strings of her entire being. Instead of feelingrelaxed, she felt her limbs begin to ache.

Luther held the steering wheel with one hand and reached out with theother, leaning her shoulder against his.

"Tired? Lean on me for a nap? You can be home in an hour.”

"Mmm." Joyce said dazedly, closing her eyes.

Gradually, Luther felt that something was wrong with her, her slightlycurled eyelashes trembled gently, and her cheeks were unnaturally red.His fingers traced over her slender neck and felt a hint of abnormalwarmth.

He was startled and quickly reached out and put his hand on herforehead.

A low cry, "It's hot, you're feverish."

"Yeah?" Joyce's limbs ached even more and she shrank back, speaking vaguely.

"The temperature is very high, and it wasn't feverish before. How comethe fever is so high all of a sudden. No, I have to take you to thehospital.” Luther stepped on the gas and accelerated, ready to go tothe nearest hospital.

"Don't." Joyce grunted a few times, “I'm so big, what hospital to go towith a fever, go home and eat some medicine and sleep.”

She turned her head and half-buried it in the seat with a reluctant look.Luther reached out and gathered her to himself, "You're so old, youshouldn't be afraid of needles?"

Joyce's body stiffened. The face is unnatural, he was right, in fact, shereally hated the injection.

Luther took a glance at her cowering appearance and couldn't help butlaugh out loud, "You're not really afraid of needles, are you?"

"Who said that? It's annoying. If I said no, I won't go." Joyce was a littleannoyed.

"Fine, fine, no go no go." Luther held back his laughter and softlycoaxed, "You lean against me, close your eyes and rest for a while. I'llcall you when we get there."

"Hmm." Joyce responded in a daze.

This time the disease came fiercely, she was sick before, never likethis, limbs ache, mind swelling, body bursts of cold, cold like in the ninedays of ice.

I don't know if I fell asleep or not.

Anyway, the car stopped.

Luther gets out of the car, takes a folded blanket out of the trunk andopens it. Walk to the passenger seat, open the door, wrap Joyce'sentire body, and then carry it out of the car.

"Are we home yet?" Joyce's eyelids were heavy and she was unable toopen them.

“It's time to go to the private clinic, be a good girl, you have a bad feverand need to see a doctor.” Luther carried her in his arms and walkedthrough the clinic doors.

This is a prestigious private practice at the Capital.

"Ah!" Joyce's eyes snapped open, "I don't want it, I don't want the shot.”
