You Hit My Heart
Chapter 141

The following morning.

Automotive project design team meeting room.

The first draft of the one-piece casting design had been completed. At10 o'clock, Joyce would present the concept and some details of thisdesign.

In the meeting room, Juanita was passing out information andpreparing green tea.

Professor Owens, who was in his sixties and a veteran of theautomotive manufacturing industry, came early and seated in theconference room where the main speakers were seated.

All other colleagues were seated one after another.

Joyce was standing on the podium, organizing materials, setting upprojection equipment, and connecting computers.

Since this meeting did not involve promotion, people from thepromotion department did not need to attend.

Charlotte was sitting in the office and did not participate in the meeting.Juanita was more enthusiastic than usual, running around theconference room and doing all the work. Today she also wanted toobserve the most cutting-edge technology, so she volunteered to takethe job of serving tea and pouring water.

Surprisingly, Shelly was here today.

She wore a goose yellow dress, embellished with sequins and pearls, stepped on high heels, and carried a Hermes platinum bag.

Rarely, Shelly usually came to work only as she pleased. She camewhen she wanted and left when she wanted. Apparently, no one woulddare to say anything about it since she was the sister of their boss.Shelly saw that Professor Owens was here today.

She hurriedly walked up and greeted, "Professor Owens, how areyou?" To her mentor, she still had respect in her heart.

Professor Owens glanced up at Shelly's outfit, his brow furrowed, andnodded perfunctorily.

He had never liked someone like Shelly, uneducated from a wealthyfamily

There was no way Shelly would have been allowed to join the projectteam as an intern. If it wasn't for the fact that R&S Group was theinvestor and Casey's assistant had interceded, he reluctantly gaveShelly a chance to learn. Even so, Shelly still didn’t know how tocherish it. She could not even show up on time every day, so how couldshe possibly make any contribution?

Shelly was eager to get closer to Professor Owens, and she went to theseat to his right.

Just when she wanted to put down her Hermes platinum bag...Professor Owens had beaten her to it and placed his briefcase on theseat, saying blandly, "This is Joyce's seat. You sit in the back.”

Shelly was so angry that her body was shaking. In the past, Joyce stoleher thunder everywhere in school, but now, in her own group, she stillcould not turn the situation around. She was the daughter of theWarner family!

Professor Owens was one of the people who built the industry, and hewas respected by the entire academic circle. Professor Owens had theright to speak in various competitions and even in the title exams of thisindustry. People would replace it hard to survive in the industry withoutProfessor Owens's approval.

Shelly exactly wanted to make her own contribution, and she stillwanted to have her own titles and awards.

Therefore, she could not afford to offend Professor Owens.

Helplessly, she could only sit down in the back seat in the dust.Looking up at Joyce, who was busy on the podium, she felt even moreresentful. It was clear that Joyce needed to stand on the podium topresent her work, and did not need a seat at the bottom at all.Professor Owens was clearly biased. Even if she was not sitting, thatposition could only belong to Joyce.

However, a wry smile appeared on Shelly's face.

Joyce, your good days were coming to an end.
