Chapter 1641: Farewell Dinner

Karl couldn't help but intervene, "Juanita, come back. You scared her.Calm down a bit and behave.”

Juanita grumpily returned to her seat.

Karl held her down. "Sit properly and don't tire yourself out."

Juanita pouted unhappily. "Why do I have to sit while they all arepregnant? Look, Joyce is still standing.”

“Is your physical foundation comparable to Joyce's? Don't you know ityourself?" Karl glanced at Juanita.

Juanita was dissatisfied. "You're comparing us? Hehe."

Joyce timely changed the subject. "Juanita, don't keep staring at Ninaas if you've discovered a new continent. Give her a breather too."Juanita shrugged her shoulders. "Fine."

Karl seemed to remember something and suddenly asked, "Nina, I sawin the system that Dr. Knight submitted a special request for your namechange and a request for a paternity test. They consider you a specialperson of interest, and they report to me if anything unusual occurs.”"Oh, my dad mentioned it. Yes," Nina nodded gently. Her name wouldsoon be changed to Jiang Ling. From now on, she would have noconnection to the Feng family and their disgusting father and son.Karl nodded. "Understood. I'll approve it as soon as possible.”

Luther tapped the table lightly. "Let's start eating. Don't just talk."Following that, he rang a bell to signal the arrival of the main course."Mr. Warner has spoken. I won't be polite, I'm hungry," Juanitaexclaimed as she picked up a bite of the cold dish and put it in herbowl, starting to eat.

Karl watched her with amusement. Being assertive was Juanita'sspecialty.

Soon, the sliding door opened, and several waiters filed in.

The dishes were served, all high-end Japanese cuisine: king crab,Alaskan crab legs, sturgeon caviar salad, marinated goose liver, pufferfish sushi, trout hot pot, and a platter of sashimi emitting a cold, white mist.

Luther picked up a piece of trout and placed it in Joyce's plate. "Youmust be hungry, eat more."

"What about Andres? Why didn't you bring him?" Juanita spoke withher mouth full.

Karl poured her a cup of tea. "Take your time, there's no one tocompete with you. Don't choke."

Joyce smiled. "Originally, Andres was supposed to come today, butthen Grandfather called him for fishing, so he didn't come."

"Wow, the great general is in high spirits. Now that the warlord problemis resolved, it seems that the great general will have an easier time.Joyce, when do you plan to take over as the warlord?" Juanita askedwhile eating.

Joyce took a deep breath and looked at everyone present.

“In fact, I invited everyone here today for a farewell dinner. I don't planto stay in the Capital anymore. The day after tomorrow, I'm going backto Khebury with him and Andres." As she spoke, she glanced at Luther.Luther smiled slightly and affectionately held her shoulder. "Yes, weplan to return to Khebury.”

The chopsticks in Juanita's hand fell with a clatter.

"What do you mean? You won't be staying in the Capital anymore?"She didn't immediately react. She had only recognized Joyce recently, and they hadn't been together for long. Now, they were actually goingto be separated?

She was momentarily at a loss, not knowing what to say. She stirredher hands nervously.

Chris saw Nina hiding behind him and struggling. He couldn't help butpull her out. “Don't be nervous, relax. From now on, we're all on thesame side. Don't be so awkward."

"Oh," Nina murmured, feeling really nervous. She had never eaten ameal with so many people before. From childhood to now, she hadalways been alone, rarely interacting with others at home or at school.Joyce smiled. "Chris, don't worry. Familiarity breeds ease. After a fewtimes, Nina will get used to it."

Juanita smiled mischievously. "Chris, aren't you anxious? If you're busyall day, you won't have time for me."

"Am I that busy?" Chris sneered. "Am I the kind of person who startssomething and then abandons it?"

Juanita dryly laughed. "Not at all. Hehe."

Joyce timely changed the topic. "Juanita, don't keep staring at Nina asif you've discovered a new continent. Give her a breather.”

Juanita shrugged. "Okay."
