Chapter 1697: Dinner Two
"And what?" Reuben asked.
"Nothing," Luther smiled and didn't say anything more.
"Mr. Warner is indeed the wealthiest person in Pascaylia. I've only seenyou in magazines before. Seeing you in person, you truly areextraordinary. I hope we have the opportunity to cooperate in thefuture,” Reuben politely extended his hand.
Luther shook his hand, showing respect.
“No problem. Let me know what projects you need. Within mycapabilities, I will do my best. I don't know what industry your family isin?" Luther asked.
From what he knew, the Tanaka name was prominent in Rohomes.Even the royal family had the Tanaka surname. Many influential figuresalso had the surname. He wanted to inquire about Reuben's familybackground.
Reuben's eyes flickered slightly, and he casually replied, "Oh, newenergy, electricity, and the like."
Luther's expression froze. "Heh, it must be a prominent family."
“It's average. The wealth can't compare to Mr. Warner's," Reubenmodestly replied.
"Alright, the beef is ready.” Reuben cut the grilled wagyu into smallpieces and placed them on everyone's plates.
"Dip it in this sauce andwrap it in the leaf." He carefully wrapped apiece for Kiki.
Kiki ate while praising, "It's so delicious!"
She followed the same method and wrapped a piece for Anderson, offering it to him attentively.
Anderson frowned and refused, "You eat it yourself. I have hands, I cando it myself."
"Oh, okay." Kiki couldn't coax him, so she ate it herself.
Joyce smiled as she watched the scene unfold. Anderson always puton a face that kept others at a distance. As a mother, she didn't want tobother with him too much. She let him be.
Luther took a sip of the tea in front of him and asked, "Tanaka is aprominent name in Rohomes, and even the royal family has thesurname Tanaka. Is your family related to the royal family?"
Reuben denied with a shake of his head while continuing to grill themeat. "There are many people with the surname Tanaka. There are atleast tens of millions. I'm just a small player. It's nothing worthmentioning."
At that moment, Kiki looked up. "Cousin, aren't you..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Reuben had already placed apiece of meat into her mouth.
"Eat more when you're hungry. Less talking."
Kiki's mouth was full, and the meat was delicious. She had forgottenwhat she wanted to say.
At the dining table, Joyce knew very well what was going on. She hadalready confirmed Reuben's identity from Kiki. Clearly, Reuben didn'twant his identity exposed, so she pinched Luther under the table.
At the same time, she gave Luther a meaningful look, indicating thatshe would explain in detail when they got home.
Luther understood Joyce's intention and didn't ask any furtherquestions.
As they continued eating, Grizela hurriedly arrived.
After entering the private room, she greeted everyone with a bow andshowed respect to Reuben. "Mr. Reuben, I'm sorry for my negligencetoday."
Reuben waved his hand. "It's fine.”
After Grizela finished her greeting, she stood by the door, oppositeDarrin.
Darrin leaned against the door, crossed his arms, and looked coldly atGrizela.
He sneered, "You're here now. What's the use?"
Grizela felt the unfriendly gaze from Darrin and glared at him, whispering, "Were you there when the incident happened? You're nobetter. Can't rely on men, can we rely on women?"
Darrin’s face instantly turned ugly.
