You Hit My Heart
Chapter 191

"No need." Luther stared, turning the phone over in front of him withbloodstained fingers. His heart thudded, feeling unsettleduncontrollably.

The cracked screen and the sharp tips of the broken glass, stained withhis bright red blood, looked particularly hideous.

Like an omen for something untoward to happen.

He stared straight at his phone, his mind growing more and moreuneasy.

“I'll do it." Casey picked up the phone and removed the chip andmemory card from it, and then put the broken phone into a plastic bag,“Luther, I'm afraid the phone is completely broken. I'll go buy you a newphone now while you go to the hotel and rest.”

"Wait." Luther blocked again.

"We'll go back this afternoon!" He was so determined that he didn'twant to wait one more minute.

“Luther, Professor Williams has made an appointment with youtomorrow to talk about our latest automotive integrated casting design, which Professor Williams is very interested in and will help us open upthe Mufron market. This meeting is very important and I have all thematerials ready. Because Professor Williams has a full daytimeschedule today, it will only take an hour tomorrow." Casey cautiouslyreminded.

He felt that the boss was not right these days, especially today, and hedid not know what happened to the boss in the end. Was it because ofJoyce?

"We'll talk about it later, and we are going back in the afternoon.” Lutherinsisted.

"But, there are no more flights today.” Casey explained, “The earliestflight would be tomorrow noon."

“Don't we have a private jet in Mufron?" Luther frowned.

“Luther, the whole trip back from Mufron would take over ten hours, andwe didn't make route request in advance. Even if we have a privateplane, we wouldn't be able to take off." Casey replied. At that time, alsobecause of the suddenness of this trip, they did not have time to makethe request, otherwise usually Luther would be taking a private planeboth trips.

"How long does it take to get approved for an emergency flight?" Lutherthrust his hands into his pants pockets to hide the fact that his handswere trembling slightly and uncontrollably.

“It's hard to say, I'll just have to give it my best shot." Casey returned,“Luther, I'll send you back to the hotel to rest, then request a temporaryflight route and get you a new phone."

"Hmm." Luther was distracted, his thoughts drifting away.

Joyce knew better than to avoid his calls on purpose. Could it be thather phone was dead? Was he thinking too much?

“Luther, this interview with Wilson is also beneficial to Joyce. If thepromotion is successful, in the future, it will greatly enhance herinternational popularity. Luther, are you really not going to think about itanymore?"

Luther was a little hesitant, perhaps he was too sensitive.

What could happen in the first place? There was a time differencebetween the two places, and it was already night time at home. Heneeded to fly back for more than ten hours, even if he rushed backnow, what could he do?

Since the interview was beneficial to Joyce, why not...

After taking all things into consideration, Luther instructed, "You callnow and move up tomorrow's meeting with Wilson to eight o'clock thisevening. He will meet me if he wants to, or we can talk about it nexttime. Temporary emergency flight request for evening departure. Youhurry up and do it, I'll go back to the hotel myself."

"Yes, I will be right on my way, but you need to stop the bleeding in youfinger first." Casey answered in a hurry.

Luther looked at Casey's distant figure as he put his bleeding fingerbetween his thin lips and gently bit down to stop the bleeding.

The fishy taste of blood permeated his mouth.

Like the feeling of uneasiness in his heart, it grew more and more clearuncontrollably. In any case, he must rush back tonight.
