You Hit My Heart
Chapter 196

Before she put her pen to paper, though...

Luther's handsome and upright figure suddenly came to her mind. They, after all, had to end up in such an embarrassing way. What did itmatter if he came to sign the divorce papers or not?

It's also good to get back to where they were supposed to be.

It's best for them both.

He had Charlotte, and the baby. She had to replace Justin, too, and herunfinished business.

Joyce's pen, slowly falling, and left soft brush strokes on the cleanwhite paper.

Jacqueline's heart hung in the air, full of anticipation for Joyce to hurryup and sign. She of course hid the divorce agreement from Luther andgave Joyce the divorce agreement privately. She had not dared to tellLuther about Stephanie's death. She was waiting for Joyce to sign thedivorce agreement and got the trump card before she dared to tellLuther the bad news.

She also had no time to wait and had to get Joyce to sign in themorning. Once Mr. Arnold returned to the Warner family at noon, shecould not hide it.

Seeing Joyce about to put pen to paper and sign, Shelly was just asnervous. She could finally drive Joyce away.

Joyce had just touched the paper with her pen when she suddenlystopped.

Looking up, she looked at Jacqueline.

Jacqueline's breath hitched and she didn't dare to breathe at thismoment.

Joyce stared at Jacqueline, at first expressionless, then suddenlysmiled a little, the irony in her smile obvious.

"If I sign the divorce paper and then inherit Stephanie's estate, this canbe my personal property. Are you really sure? Still want me to sign?"Jacqueline froze, her mind spinning for a moment.

Joyce was just asking, not waiting Jacqueline's reply.

She did not hesitate, and signed her name in one stroke. Herhandwriting is smooth, relaxed and powerful, without a trace oflingering.

It's over, Luther.

After signing, she tucked the divorce papers back through the gapunder the glass partition.

"Nothing else for the two of you? Then I'll leave first." After saying that, she stood up, opened the door of the parlor straight away and leftwithout looking back.

Only then did Jacqueline came back to her sense, and she and Shellylooked at each other.

Jacqueline said, "Yes, why didn't I think of that? After the divorce,Joyce's inheritance will be all her personal property. If Joyce inheritsduring the marriage, it is still joint property with Luther."

She covered her slightly hot cheeks with one hand and recalled, "WhenI repeatedly consulted my lawyer yesterday, I repeatedly emphasizedthat Joyce was the murderer. So, the lawyer rightfully assumed that shewould not inherit Grandmother's property. So it wasn't pointed out to methat this was the case.”

"If, indeed, Joyce is not the murderer. We are now giving Joyce all thepart of the joint property of the couple that my brother owns!" Shellyscreamed. They never thought about that.

Jacqueline rushed forward to cover Shelly's mouth, looking around,"Keep your voice down, don't talk nonsense, Joyce is the killer! It has tobe! She won't have a chance to inherit Stephanie's shares! I won't lether get away with it!"

Shelly's eyes widened and she nodded.
