You Hit My Heart
Chapter 208

Night fell and darkness enveloped the sky.

The chilly wind rose again and ravaged the land.

Jacqueline and Shelly were relaxing after their shower and beforegoing to bed, and Jacqueline had been busy during the day makingcontacts and trying to get Joyce convicted.

She was tired after the long day, which made her look very poor, herbreath and blood were all gone, and she was very haggard.

After thinking about it, she felt uneasy and called Mr. Donaldson.

When the call was answered, Mr. Donaldson naturally understoodJacqueline's intention, he said directly, "Ma'am, I'm sorry. I have somebad news, we could not replace the will of Stephanie in the materialshanded over from Joyce's case. So I can't send the will to my closefriends for analysis. I learned that Karl intervened in this matter, and hesent the will to the Capital Graphanalysis Center personally overnightand found Dustin, the most renowned graph analysis expert in thecountry. The report made by Dustin sure represents the finalconclusion, and no one in the country can reverse it."

Jacqueline's heart skipped a beat when she heard that, and her instincttold her it was not good, so she hastily asked, "What is the result of thereport?”

"As I warned before, Karl is a tricky person, and it's hard for me to getmy hands on things once he gets involved. He has sent the reportdirectly to the prosecutor's office, so the specifics are not clear to menow." Mr. Donaldson's voice was serious, “I highly suspect that the willmay not be tampered with, but Stephanie's real intention. Otherwise,Karl should have reported the material to the police headquartersinstead of sending it to the prosecutor's office. He did so for the solepurpose of applying for a revocation of the arrest warrant.”Jacqueline's heart sank to the bottom. Her shares were gone? DamnStephanie, for what reason? Not leaving a share for herself and Shelly? This was outrageous!

"What to do, Mr. Donaldson, you must think of something to help me."Jacqueline's voice was frustrated. She hated it so much that she almostwanted to crush the phone.

“No hurry. There is still room for things to go. For now, our focus shouldbe on convicting Joyce. If Joyce is confirmed to be the murderer, thewill be flawed since it is likely that she had forced Stephanie intoamending it. In that case, the contents of the will could be invalidatedeven if Stephanie herself changed it."

"Yes, yes, yes, I hadn't thought of that at all, thank you, Mr. Donaldson,"Jacqueline said as if she saw a glimmer of hope.

"At present, all other evidence is against Joyce, and we can make thebest use of it." Mr. Donaldson continued, "Of course, I will do my best.""Don’t worry about the rewards. I made the first payment to youroverseas account this afternoon.” Jacqueline said.

"OK, we'll be in touch if there's anything new." Mr. Donaldson finishedand was about to hang up the phone.

"By the way." He suddenly remembered an important thing and warned,"According to what I found, Joyce is an orphan. The bail is thusextremely costly, requiring tens of millions of dollars, which ordinarypeople certainly cannot afford to pay. I suggest that you do not bail herout. It is more convenient for me to get things done in the detentioncenter."

“I understand.” Jacqueline obliged. There was no way she was going tobail Joyce out. She could not wait for Joyce to suffer more in thedetention center, and it would be better if she could just die there. Shehad no reason to panic at the thought of death, but she was onlythinking about it in her head, venting her anger. She just wanted hershares back and to be on the group's board.
