You Hit My Heart
Chapter 505

The coroner said politely to Karl in a hurry, "Please come with me.Although the scene has been cleaned, I have saved the photos and willshow them to you together.”

"Good." Karl turned to Joyce and said, "I'll take a look at the scene, andyou stay here for a while."

"Well, I'm going over to have a word with Cecelia.” Joyce nodded andwalked to the side.

Cecelia sat alone in the corner, her eyes empty as if her soul had beentaken away, lifeless. She did not even notice Joyce, only immersed inthe great pain.

Joyce stepped forward, bowed gently to Cecelia, and said respectfully,"Cecelia, I'm sorry for your loss.”

Cecelia woke up when she heard someone calling her, and when shesaw that it was Joyce, she stood up quickly, "Joyce, it's you, what areyou doing here?"

“I happened to be with Officer Karl and stopped by and came in to takea look." Joyce explained, "Cecelia, Karl is the most responsibledetective I've ever met, and he came by to check out the scene. And hewill do whatever he can to help.”

In front of her eyes, Cecelia had obviously cried, her eyes were red andswollen, her tears had not yet dried, and her sorrowful face could nothide the endless sorrow.

She nodded gently, "I see. I'm sorry I couldn't receive you properlybecause of the accident in my family.”

Joyce wanted to ask if there was anything she could do to help. TheHeath family was a warlord family, full of soldiers standing in thecourtyard, so certainly they had no need for more hands.

She looked around and noticed a strange thing. In fact, she had feltstrange since she came in just now. Why didn't Charlotte see her aftersuch a big incident at home?

"Cecelia, how come I don't see Charlotte?" asked Joyce directly.

"Hey, don't mention it." Cecelia sighed quietly, “Today I had an urgentmatter to go to the Capital. I did not expect that when I barely gothalfway there, I got a call, and they told me Charlotte had an accident. She was hit by a car near the subway entrance, so I had to turn aroundand rush back to Khebury."

"Charlotte was in a car accident? How come? I saw her at Skymall thisafternoon.” Joyce almost blurted out. How could that be? Charlotte wasobviously with Ricky, and it was obvious that Ricky would drive herhome, how could she be near the subway entrance? And she got hit bya car?

“Yes, I heard her say that too. Charlotte was in a hurry and was stuck intraffic, so she took the subway. I didn't realize the more I rushed, themore things went wrong. It all came together.” Cecelia said withremorse.

“Isn't there a lieutenant with Charlotte? I saw him this afternoon, too."Joyce was suspicious but concerned, "Charlotte, is she okay? She'sstill pregnant.”

"Oh, you mean Ricky, who also happened to be urgently transferredback to the Capital this afternoon, and would not be back untilsometime later.” Cecelia put one hand on her forehead, "All themisfortunes, all the misfortunes, all in one place. I came back in a hurryand visited Charlotte at the military hospital, but fortunately, she onlyfainted for a while and was not seriously injured, and the baby in herwomb was saved. Then I rushed home again, I did not expect ..."

In the end, Cecelia choked up.

"When I entered, Rodney had already passed away, and he was lyingthere. He had fallen down the stairs. I blame myself for not being ableto take care of him at home all the time."
