You Hit My Heart
Chapter 513

“Yes, we just simply could not solve every case. I've seen too manyunsolvable cases. I really don't want Stephanie and Rodney's case tojust sink forever." Karl sighed, "Besides, the Heath family and I are stillrelated, I just have to try to replace out the truth. I've kept all the photosfrom the scene and will go back and study them. Hopefully, we canmake a breakthrough.”

“Yeah, I forgot about that until you mentioned it. You're actuallyCharlotte's cousin.” Joyce teased, "In that case, I don't even dare tocount on you to check your own cousin.”

Karl suddenly stopped in his tracks and said seriously, "How's that evenrelated? I could never let her go just because I'm related to her...""Come on. I'm just kidding. Look at you, you can't take a joke!" Joycesmiled, "You got to see the fun and pick up a relative for nothing today,so it was a good trip."

The atmosphere between the two gradually melted up, talking andlaughing, and from the perspective of the shadow from afar, theylooked like a sweet couple.

"By the way, I forgot to tell you. I think of something strange. I heardCecelia talk about how Charlotte got accidentally hit by a car in theevening and was sent to the military hospital. The Heath family had aseries of accidents, very strange. And, as you know, I also sawCharlotte and Ricky together in Skymall this afternoon ..."

Joyce was talking when suddenly Karl winked at her, signaling her notto continue.

Joyce stopped talking as Karl's gaze fell behind her, and she turned herhead in confusion to follow his line of sight and look behind herself. She saw a tall handsome figure come out of the shadows - his eyeswere like a cold pool, and his face was emotionless like a river, emittinga powerful coldness as if the surrounding area had all been frozen.Joyce could not help but roll her eyes. Luther actually came to EdenApartment again, so there was simply no end to it.

"Oh, Joyce, you are really beyond my imagination, attracting butterflieseverywhere. I didn't think you'd have an affair with another man besidesJustin. Who is this again?"

Luther glared at Karl coldly and hostilely.

Joyce was speechless. He really did not remember Karl. Although itwas expected, it was funny for him to ask Karl such a question. Shedidn't feel she had to tell him that she and Karl were just friends.Because she didn't want to waste her breath with him.

Luther did not ignore the disdain that crossed Joyce's eyes. He feltsomehow angry. He just saw Joyce and another man, talking, laughing, and flirting. His chest felt stuffy. Damn women, she was still his wife, and she met other men so frequently. What an embarrassement!

He reached out, trying to drag Joyce over to him. Seeing her standingnext to other men was an eyesore.

Unexpectedly, Karl moved one step faster and pulled Joyce behind himto protect her.

"My name is Karl, the chief of the second precinct of the Khebury policedepartment. Mr. Warner, nice to meet you." Karl sank his face. He wasmostly expressionless, and now, he was obviously, angry.

"Karl..."

Luther chewed the words slowly, "We knew each other before?"

"Since you don’t remember, Mr. Warner can pretend we don’t knoweach other." Karl returned nonchalantly.

Luther narrowed his eyes, and his expression carried a few hints ofdanger. He recalled that he should have known Karl. He had heardAaron report about him before, about his grandmother's case, aboutJoyce's kidnapping case, and they were all thanks to Karl.
