Lorianne's POV

She doesn't want to hear whatever they want to say anymore.

She stood and left her last message.

Wishing them the best of life.

They're meant for each other, she thought.

When she was outside the building, she hailed the first taxi that she saw.

She wanted to go back to Leandro now and tell him everything.

Leandro is the only person who doesn't think about anything else but her well-being.

"Take me to the airport, Kuya," she told the driver.

"Okay, po Ma'am,' the driver replied.

Good thing she didn't leave some of her things in Lola Tenay's house. She doesn't need to go back and take it.

She wanted to call Leandro, but she thought. It's better to surprise him.

"Here we are, ma'am," the driver informed her.

She paid her fare with a tip and headed inside the airport.

She looked for a ticketing booth to check if there was an available flight back to Leandro's place.

She asked some airport personnel when she could buy a ticket.

They pointed her to a ticketing outlet not so far from the airport. It's only located on the opposite side.

She crossed the road and went to the ticketing outlet.

She asked the teller if there was an available flight.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, the flight going to your destination already left; the next available flight will be tomorrow at five am. Would you like to book for tomorrow?" The receptionist asked her. Even if she wanted to be there as much as she wanted to, she couldn't do it because there was no available flight going to her destination.

"Okay, Miss, I'll book for tomorrow," she replied, feeling sad.

After she paid for her plane ticket. She will replace a place to stay.

"Miss, is there any available place to stay near the airport?" she asked the lady.

"Yes, ma'am, actually we accepted transient. We have many rooms upstairs," the woman replied.

"Thank God, I don't need to look far." She smiled at her.

"Wait a second, I'll call the one in charge of our transient," the woman said, calling someone.

"Okay, ma'am, she will come to accompany you upstairs. Do you have your luggage?" the woman asks.

"No, just have my bag. I only travel lightly, "she replied.

"I see; I thought you had luggage; you could leave it in your room, and you can roam around. There is a mall nearby," the woman suggested. "Oh, thank you! I will take some rest maybe," she replied.

"There she is, ma'am. She will take you to your room," said the woman, showing her the lady who had just arrived.

"Thank you!" she said, waving her hand to a woman.

She said and followed the woman who would take her to her room.

"Travel lights," asked a woman. Maybe she noticed that she only had her bag that only held a few pairs of clothes.

"Yes, I just came to visit a relative, "she replied.

"I see. Here's your room. In case you're hungry, we have a canteen downstairs. We have a lot of choices," she informed her. "Thank you!"

The woman gave her the key.

"You're welcome!"

The woman left her; she closed the door and walked towards the small table.

She put down her bag.

The room is neat.

It's good for one person only.

The bed is for a single person only. There is clean bedding and pillows.

Well, she only needs a place to stay for tonight.

If she doesn't go to the cemetery this morning, she might catch the flight.

After she visits Clarissa's grave, she has to get her tombstone changed.

It took several hours until it was done.

Then she went to Franco's condo. It also took several hours.

She lay down to rest. She checks the time on her wristwatch. It's only five in the afternoon.

She set an alarm on her phone. She will wake up at six. One hour's sleep will regain her energy. She will replace food later at the canteen.

As soon as she laid her back on the bed, she immediately fell asleep. She only woke up when her cellphone's alarm went off.

She washes her face and combs her hair. She will go down to the cafeteria to replace something to eat. She had never eaten anything aside from the coffee and bread that Lola Tenay gave her that morning.

She also wondered to herself if she didn't feel hungry; now she felt her stomach churning.

She only brings her wallet and key. She is not going to stay long. She charged her phone and left the room. After closing and locking it, she headed downstairs. She will replace the canteen that the woman has told her about. She found it immediately because of the smell of the food.

She walked toward the place and found the menu. While she was looking at the menu, she could sense that someone was watching her.

She looked around, and she was right; there was a man on the left side seated not far away, only one table from where she was. It's Franco.

What is he doing here? She thought.

Whatever he's doing there, it's not her business to know.

She continued looking at the menu.

Then she called a server to get her order.

While waiting for her food, she could see from her peripheral vision that a man had stood up. Maybe he is finished eating and leaving now.

Before, she always got giddy when he was around her. But now, she never feels any excitement about seeing him.

"May I sit here with you?" It surprised her when suddenly he spoke in front of her.

She just nodded at him.

"I don't know that I will replace you here; maybe we are really destined to be together," he started.

"I don't know what to say after what happened today, but I'm sorry; I really am," he continued.

She has no plan on talking. She remained silent.

"""I wasn't man enough to stand my ground. I let somebody take control of me. I let her manipulate the situation. I could have done better, but I never tried. "He paused.

"I left her; I will ask my lawyer to make our marriage void. We can go back to being together, Yane. We will start anew," he said.

"Excuse me, here's your order, ma'am," interrupted the waitress, which made him stop talking.

"Thank you!" she replied, and she started eating.

When they were together, she was very cautious in her actions; she wanted to be perfect for him. Right now, she doesn't care. She will eat to her heart's content. "Yane, shall we start again? I promise this time that I will listen to my instinct and will not allow others to dictate to me," he said.

She only looked straight at him and never commented.

She would never let them abandon her again.

What if no one helped her? Maybe she was also dead.

So no.

Not ever again.

"Are you done?" she asked him when he stopped talking.

"You could go now; I am interested in coming back to anyone who abandoned me." She, through her gritted teeth, didn't want to attract people's attention.

"Yane, please, give us a second chance. I can prove to you that I will do everything to make you safe this time," he said, begging.

"I'm sorry, Franco, as I said this morning, you failed me. What if no one found me? Then I'm dead like Clarissa," she said.

She stared at him intently.

"What happened made me realize that I can't depend on anyone but myself. I should be thankful for my second life, but that doesn't mean I will spend it with those who have killed me." She paused. "We're done, Franco. Accept it and go back to Jean. I heard that she's pregnant with your child," she continued.

"Who told you that she was pregnant?" he asked in surprise.

"Lola Tenay told me that is why you two got married before her baby bump showed up," she replied, wiping her mouth. She finished eating, and she called the waiter to get her bill. "It's on me," he said.

But she refused.

"I can pay," she said. Taking out some bills from her wallet.

She intended to let him see the photo that Leandro put in her wallet.

She wanted to make sure that he could see it.

She was waiting for him to comment about it, but he didn't say anything.

Instead, he spoke about Jean's pregnancy.

"About pregnancy, it's not true. I only married her out of goodwill because I thought I would learn to love her. But that never happened, especially now that you're alive," he said, trying to look at her eyes, but she made sure that her attention was on her wallet, putting back the change.

She placed fifty pesos on the table for a tip.

"I have to go now. Good luck, Franco," she said, and she stood up.

She flounced when he held her hand.

"Goodbye, Franco," she said firmly.

She walks as fast as she can so that he will have a chance to follow her.

What she said, she had no intention of taking it back.

It's done, and it's final.

She will go back to the person she owes her life to.

To the man who she truly loves.
