Somewhere in the northern part of the Philippines is a man grieving for his loss.

His fiancee.

The cruise ship sank where his fiancée was one of the passengers.

Their wedding is scheduled for next month.

He's heart is aching.

He wants to scream. He wants to blame the poor cruise ship engine. He wants to blame the negligence of the staff.

He wants to die too. It's too painful that the woman you're going to marry is now a cold body inside a coffin.

He cried from the day they found and identified her body. He couldn't believe it. He doesn't want to believe in it. He convinced himself that that's not his fiancee. "No, she's not Lorraine. Maybe she's just the same feature as hers, but that's not her." he told Jean.

Jean is their close friend. Actually, she's Lorraine's best friend.

"How I really wish that you're right Franco. I wish that too. But aside from the feature though her body was been ruined by the hit of strong waves, the ring in

her finger couldn't be mistaken. You're the one who bought it; it's the engagement ring," Jean reminded him.

Yes, it's the ring that he bought for her; it's their engagement ring.

Today is his fiancee's burial. How many times does he have to convince himself that the person inside the coffin isn't Lorianne? But who else could it be? No doubt about it. She wore their engagement ring. Jean was right.

"Franco, let's go, mourners have left already; I'm only waiting for you." Jean's tapped his shoulder.

Franco just glanced at her but never said anything. His eyes were sad and swollen from crying. He stood up

"Goodbye, Honey," he said.

He's come from a wealthy family in the northern part of the Philippines. Tall, dark, and handsome as what girls describe him. At the age of twenty-nine, he has accomplished many things. Not from the wealth of his parents but from his own. He's one of the successful realtors in the Philippines, with some assets from other neighboring Asian countries.

And he's very much ready to build his own family as well.

One summer, his grandfather called him, saying that there's a piece of land in their area that is for sale. Maybe he could come to check it. He never had a second thought; he booked an air fare and flew to the south.

He stayed at his grandparents house and surveyed the place. If it's suited for investment, he will buy it.

He met Lorianne when he attended a wedding of one of his distant relatives in a southern part of the Philippines. He doesn't believe in love at first sight-first attraction maybe. So when he saw her standing not too far away from him, he came over and introduced himself. Maybe the feeling was mutual; that's why they clicked. Like they've known each other for a long time. From then on, they're always together. Until they decided to get married.

Since his office is in Luzon, he flies there to visit his parents and also his businesses.

He has a sister who is four years older than him. She's married with two kids. Timothy is 5 years old, and the youngest is Althea, who is 3 years old. They live an hour drive away from his parents house. That's why he doesn't worry about their parents.

When he told his parents that he's going to marry his girlfriend from his grandparents place, they didn't oppose. They're happy, actually. He needs to settle down like his sister. They didn't even ask who's the lucky girl. They said as long as they loved each other, there's no problem.

When he told them that Lorianne is an orphan, they pitied the woman. They have compassion for her, so they helped whatever they could. They shopped a wedding dress for Lorraine. They hired a wedding planner so they could give the best wedding for her to cherish. They have grown to love his Lorianne.

They too were mourning about her sudden departure on earth.
