Lorrine's POV

She can't hold her tears when she sees all the beautiful dresses Leandro bought for her. She never expected that he had already bought her things. Looking at the dresses, she knew that they cost a fortune. It's not just ordinary brands as she scanned them.

She never imagined that she would enjoy all of this. Yes, Franco had promised her a luxurious life before, but she had never experienced it with him. All he always told her was, when we got married. When they get married, Unlike Leandro, he didn't know her yet, but he had been there for her, though it was only a short time, but it seems they had been together for a very long time. All the care he poured into her in that short period of time is nothing compared to when she was with her ex. This man with her right now took care of her even though he didn't know her true identity.

As they went down the stairs, she felt cold. She felt like she was sweating. She is worried; what if his family doesn't accept her to be with their son?

She breathed a sigh of relief when Leandro's parents hugged her. She didn't think they were this good. It has been proven that the blood that ran through Leandro's veins was only good. She could see it from his parents. They don't look down on others.

That is why they have received so many blessings, she thought.

After a while, they agreed to have dinner after introducing each other.

They talked about everything during dinner.

She learned a lot about man's life in Italy. She learned that he is not an ordinary man. It wasn't just his status in life. He lives in a high society.

They also talked about his ex-fiancée.

From the revelations she heard, she understood why Leandro left to go to the Philippines before. She could tell how devastated he was. Of course, who will not be? You have invested time and effort in that relationship, then suddenly, out of nothing, it's ruined because of untruthfulness.

Now she knows why the man didn't touch that topic way back in the Philippines. They agreed not to talk about anything in the past, as he had reminded her.

She felt sorry for the man; the shame he had suffered because of his girlfriend's actions was no joke. She had also flirted with his best friend. What his ex did stained his reputation.

She touched the man's hand. She wanted to show him her concern and, above all, her understanding.

She only listened to them while they were talking.

They never speak in their own dialect, an indication of an educated people.

"Hope you're okay, figlia mia?" his mother said when she noticed her silence.

"I'm fine, Mama; I am listening to you all," she replied, smiling.

"Good, because I want you to know all about your husband. I'm pretty sure that there's not enough time for the two of you to talk things out. Besides, I knew him well enough that he must not go back to the past. It's in him that the past remains in the past. Right?" his mother said, winking at her.

She smiled at her. Before they went down, he actually reminded her of it. His mother was right about her son. Well, as the saying goes, "Mother Knows Best."

"Mama!" protested Leandro.

"I only speak the truth, figlio mio," his mother said, raising her eyebrows.

After their dinner, her parents invited them to chat in their family room.

"Well, figlia mia, we are people who don't judge people by who they are or where they come from. Here in our family, we live in the present, and if possible, we don't' want lies. We trust our instinct in dealing with people. We always believe that truth will always prevail," his mother said.

"Thank you, Mama. Actually, I am blessed that even you, who don't know me at all, welcomed me into your family," she replied.

"We could feel the kindness in your heart, and we could see how our only son loves you. He is different from other women when he is with you," the woman replied.

She suddenly looked at Leandro; she caught him staring at her.

"Well, Papa, Mama, now that Yane knows what a mess I have been through, we wanted to tell you everything about how we met. To be honest, I am thankful that what happened had happened. If it didn't, maybe I would be married to a cheater and not with this wonderful woman with me." Leandro started their confession.

"I never regret flying and leaving all of you dealing with those messes." He paused.

"Look at the valuable jewels that I found," he said proudly, taking her hands and kissing them.

"Absolutely agree," his father said with a thumbs up.

Leandro then opened up to his parents about his journey to the Philippines and the moment he found her lying on the shore unconscious. And all those three months that he had been with her at the hospital, taking care of her while she was in a coma, and the time when they got married while she was on her amnesia.

The mistakes that they have made in pursuing marriage without even knowing her true identity.

"I'm sure there's a way to address your concerns. You said you could also have a wedding here," his mother said. She could see her concern in her eyes.

"That's true; Italy has different laws. A dead wife is not going to claim her husband, right? Then who will hinder your marriage? You were considered a widower anyway," her mother continues.

"By the way, what are your plans for tomorrow?" her mother asked them.

"Tomorrow we're going to the winery I just bought in Chianti. Do you want to come with me?" the man replied.

"You guys go ahead; take your wife around so she can enjoy her time here in our place. But don't forget that you need to arrange the wedding," his mother said.

He almost forgot they needed to request a marriage certificate from the PSA so they could replace out if their marriage was registered by the minister Rudy knew. He was the one who looked for it because the wife of the doctor who had taken care of him before couldn't be found.

"Of course, Mom, we can't get married here. That's why we're going to visit the vineyard in Chianti, because I plan to have our wedding there," Leandro replied, pulling her close to him. Leandro's father also pulled his wife close. Even though they were getting older, they were still sweet. In his mind.

I hope that even when he and Leandro get older, she will still be that sweet to him.

"That's a good idea. Just don't be shy to ask if you need help," said his father.

He rarely spoke, unlike his mother, who was almost the only one who spoke the whole time.

"Oh, we have to leave you for now? Your father and I need to rest. We'll just come to visit you, or better yet, you can visit us at our home," his mother said goodbye, and then. "Where are you going, Mama? It's already late," she asked the man's mother.

"We're going home, Figlia Mia; our house is thirty minutes from here," her mother replied.

"I thought you lived here too," she replied, feeling a little embarrassed.

"No, Mia, it's better for you and your husband to have some privacy," she replied.

"In that case, be careful on the trip," she replied and said goodbye to Leandro's parents.

They took his parents to the main door. The driver of the two was already waiting outside.

Their wealth was really amazing. Leandro's house was big, but his parents also had their own house.

After the man's parents' car left, he invited her to take a walk outside.

It was a good thing that she had chosen to wear sandals that were not high heels earlier, so she agreed to walk outside.

She saw that the lights around were already on. The landscapes were especially beautiful when lit by small lights.

A little later, she was led to the back of the mansion.

She was amazed by what she saw.

There was a big swimming pool, and there were lights around it. It was like a resort in beauty.

"You can swim anytime you want," the man prompted her.

"Okay, when we get back from Chianti, I'll take a dip there," she replied.

"Maybe we can make a request to the PSA so that while we're at the winery, our request can be processed," he suggested to the man.

"Yes, you're right; we should make a request. Okay, let's go in," the man agreed.

They went back to his mansion holding hands.

She was thinking that after they sent a request from PSA, she would have to pack their things to bring to Chianti. Not unless he already has their things prepared in advance, just like he always does. He's not only good at handling business, but he has also aced handling trips and relationships.

She smiled at her own imagination.

"What made my wife smile, hmmm?" the man asked, smiling.

"I'm wondering what else you are good at," she asked.

"Aside from managing business, trips, etc., what else?" she continued.

The look in his eyes brought tingles to her body. She knows that smile very well.
