With exams approaching, Elara wanted to enjoy some good food, so she arranged to meet Lysander here before class ended.

Hadden mentioned that their hotel had air-freighted some seafood, inviting her to come try it out.

Elara loved gourmet food and was excited to hear about the air freighted shrimp.

Brookfield was an inland city, not near the sea, so seafood wasn't cheap.

It came at a high cost.

However, given the Kensington family's wealth, it was easy for Elara to indulge in these delicacies.

Before her time travel, she had been ill and had a limited variety of foods she could eat

Later, due to financial constraints, she couldn't afford to eat what she desired.

Fortunately, now she was back, young and healthy, able to eat whatever she wanted.

When she arrived, Lysander was standing by the water feature outside their private room, just finishing a phone call.

As soon as he saw Elara, he walked over to take her backpack.

Elara looked at him. "Did you bring Violet with you?"

Lysander nodded. "Yes."

Frowning, he asked, "Why do you insist I bring her?"

During their last encounter, Violet had treated Elara poorly, leaving Lysander with a negative impression of her.

If it hadn't been for Elara insisting he include Violet, he wouldn't have bothered to invite her.

Elara replied, "She is your cousin after all. She doesn't like me, and bringing her along is a good chance to improve our relationship."

Surprised by her desire to get along with Violet, Lysander responded, "You're not upset about what happened last time? She was so rude to you."

Elara smiled peacefully at him. "Not at all. She wasn't wrong. I was pretty foolish back then, making it obvious that I liked Asher, being his biggest admirer." She continued, "If I don't get along with Violet, and someday I marry you, wouldn't that put you in a difficult position?"

Lysander stared at her, catching the part where she mentioned marrying him.

'So, she plans to marry me?' he thought.

Before he could respond, Elara grabbed his sleeve. "Let's go. I'm starving."

She pushed open the door to their private room and walked inside.

Violet was sitting there, talking on her phone with her father. "I'm out to eat with Lysander at some hotel. I have no idea what it's called. Alright, I'll talk to you later." Upon seeing Elara and Lysander enter, Violet quickly hung up, her expression turning sour as she looked at Elara with disdain.

Elara greeted her nonchalantly. "Hi, Violet, do you remember me? I'm Elara. We met last time."

Violet glared at her coldly. "Of course, I remember. Why did you call me over? I didn't want to come. You had to drag me

here."

As she spoke, Violet caught a glimpse of Lysander's indifferent expression and quickly softened her tone. "If it weren't for Lysander insisting, I wouldn't have come." Lysander held a position of power in their family, which was why Violet felt compelled to comply.

Steven, Violet's father, was particularly strict with her, giving her a meager allowance.

So, many times, when she wanted to buy something, she would ask Lysander for money.

Elara smiled at Violet. "I called you over to enjoy some good food."

"We have good food at home." Violet shot back, rolling her eyes.

Elara said, "Alright, you can sit here. Once we finish eating, I'll have Lysander take you back."

Elara summoned the waiter.

As she often dined here, she was quite familiar with the staff.

After Elara placed her order, the waiter left the room.

Before long, a large spread of delicious food arrived.

There were several styles of air-freighted mantis shrimp, including spicy and salt-and-pepper flavors.

Also on the table were salmon and tuna sashimi, all fresh from the air freight.

Elara's mouth watered at the sight.

She peeled the shrimp with gloves and said to Lysander, "This salt-and-pepper shrimp is delicious. You should try some."

Lysander looked at the perfectly peeled meat. "Thank you."

Elara replied, "No problem. It's a pity that Violet doesn't like it. We'll have to finish all of this ourselves."

Violet, sitting nearby, had already started drooling.

She often enjoyed gourmet meals at home, so she didn't replace it particularly special.

However, she was feeling a bit hungry now, and the food in front of her looked incredibly tempting.

Violet huffed in a proud manner.

Elara noticed Violet's longing gaze and peeled another shrimp for her. "Go on, and eat up. I'm just teasing you. If you don't eat soon, I might finish it all myself."

Elara spoke gently, giving Violet an easy way out.

Violet looked at her and suddenly realized Elara didn't seem so bad after all.

Plus, Elara was quite nice to Lysander.

Elara called the waiter over to help peel the shrimp shells.

The meal was very enjoyable.

By the end, Violet was having a great time and her hostility toward Elara lessened.

After Elara finished her assignments under Lysander's help, they left together.

Since Violet was with him, Elara didn't ask him to escort her home. "I can head back on my own. You take Violet home. It's already late, and I need to rest and prepare for exams." "Good luck," Lysander said.

Elara replied, "See you after the exams."

"Okay." Lysander nodded.

The hotel's lights shone down on them as Lysander watched Elara.

Violet chimed in. "Lysander, if you want to be with Elara, I can go home by myself."

After all, they had a driver.

Lysander glanced at Violet.

Violet pressed her lips together and got into the car first.

Elara, watching Violet, felt pleased. "It seems like Violet doesn't dislike me as much anymore."

"She just had some misunderstandings about you before," Lysander explained.

Elara had orchestrated the entire situation, and Violet understood her intentions.

Elara said, "I'm off now. Bye!"

Lysander watched her leave the room for a while before finally getting into the car.

Violet looked at Lysander. "Lysander, she seems really nice to you. The last time I talked to her so harshly, she didn't even get upset. Plus, she treated me to a meal." Lysander recalled Elara mentioning she would marry him in the future.

He felt like a small seedling in his heart was rapidly growing, almost overwhelming him.

That night, Asher finished his classes and headed straight home.

Jefferson had a night shift, leaving Asher alone in the house.

In the past, whenever he had a conflict with Elara, she would come over to smooth things over.

However, this time, Asher woke up in the morning to replace that Elara hadn't even called him.

At school, Asher spotted Elara getting out of a car.

Elara seemed oblivious to Asher and headed straight for the school entrance.

Asher approached her. "Good morning, Elara."

Elara turned back and glanced at him. "Morning."
