I nodded slowly, "I see. I'll think about what you've said."
Panther sighed softly. "I hope you do, Luna," he said before leaving me alone with my thoughts.
As the weeks passed, the time for the baby's arrival drew closer.
Each day was more exhausting than the last.
nt my time preparing for the birth, managing pack affairs, and keeping up with everything that needed to be done. Every step felt heavier, and every task left me drained.
One afternoon, after a particularly busy day, I collapsed into my chair, resting my head on the desk.
Sleep overtook me almost instantly, and I fell into a dream.
In the dream, the baby was born.
But it wasn't just one baby-there were two.
A boy and a girl.
The dream was so vivid that I could feel the warmth of their small hands in mine.
I held the little boy's hand tightly, while Leo was beside me, holding the little girl in his arms.
We were walking under a large sycamore tree, its green leaves casting dappled shadows on the ground.
The little girl kept asking questions, her voice full of curiosity.
Leo smiled, kneeling down to lift her into his arms.
She giggled, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Daddy," she whispered sweetly, and Leo's face softened with love.
Then, suddenly, a bolt of thunder cracked through the sky, and I was jolted awake.
I blinked groggily, realizing I had fallen asleep at my desk. Maid was standing at the door, her expression concerned.
"Luna, are you all right?" she asked. "When are you going to eat?"
I rubbed my eyes and sat up slowly.
"Has anything happened while I was asleep?" I asked, still feeling disoriented from the dream.
Maid thought for a moment before answering.

"A few hours ago, I went upstairs and heard a phone call from the study. The voice on the other end was faint, and I couldn't hear what was being said. It was strange..."
I frowned, feeling a sense of unease creeping in. "Disconnected, you said?"
"Yes, OMEGA confirmed. "I couldn't make out much, so I hung up."
I sat quietly, processing the information.
Something about the phone call nagged at me, but I couldn't place why.
My heart thumped wildly in my chest as I stared at my phone.

That call it could have come from the frontline battlefield.
My mind raced with a thousand thoughts, all of them grim.
I couldn't focus on anything else.
Instinctively, I tapped in the numbers to dial back, hoping to reach Leo.
I needed to hear his voice, to know that he was okay.
But there was no answer. The line went dead after just a few rings, and I felt the knot in my stomach tighten. Something wasn't right.
Without wasting another second, I instructed my assistant to prepare a vehicle.
re heading north," I said, my voice steady but laced with urgency.
I couldn't explain it, but a deep, gnawing sense of dread had settled in.
I needed to see Leo. I needed to make sure he was safe.
On the way, I kept dialing the number, over and over again.
The hours passed like slow torture, each ring echoing in the silence of the car.
My assistant glanced at me nervously, but there was nothing to say.
We both knew something was wrong.
As the car wound its way toward the northern front, I could feel the weight of the situation settling in.
The air around us seemed heavy, and my thoughts kept returning to that brief, disconnected phone call from the night before.
I couldn't shake the feeling that something had gone terribly wrong.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, my phone beeped.
The screen flashed, and the call connected.
For a moment, all I could hear was static.
Then, to my surprise, a low, cold voice spoke from the other end.
"You finally answered the phone," Leo's voice said, but there was something different about it-tired, almost distant. "Why did you hang up last night when the hospital on the northern front called?"
I froze, recalling the maid's mention of the phone call that had been hung up because of bad reception.
I wanted to open my mouth to explain.
"Leo, I didn't mean to..." I started, trying to explain myself, but before I could finish, he interrupted.
"Yesterday, there was a batch of wounded," he said, his voice clipped and angry.
"I had to cover my own injuries. The medicines we need are only stocked up by Silvermoon. I asked Aria to call you, but you just... hung up. I know you don't like her, but-"
My heart sank. "You think I deliberately didn't answer the phone because I was jealous of Aria?"
I couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth.
