Chapter 47

"Alpha and Luna of spectral pack's have red hair and black eyes, don't they?" Orlando said, "And my daughter has black hair and green eyes, and as for the similarity in looks, that's because Elizabeth's mother, and her adoptive mother are blood sisters."

In that moment, I saw the truth in his eyes.

I realized that Orlando and I had the same green eyes and black hair.

Orlando's agitation was evident as he spoke, his voice strained.

"You look so much like your mother, but you have my eyes and hair."

I was too stunned to respond as Orlando's hand trembled while he pulled out an old

photograph.

The image showed a younger Orlando, a woman who looked uncannily like me, and a baby

nestled in her arms.

They smiled at the camera, a picture of familial happiness.

"You have a crescent-shaped birthmark on your chest," Orlando continued, his eyes red with emotion.

"After

you were born, Melina laughed and said it was a gift from the goddess Luna."

The recognition hit me hard.

I had always had that birthmark, a detail I'd known about myself but never truly understood.

My mind raced back to my early years.

I was the firstborn of the spectral pack's Alpha Luna.

They had long believed they couldn't have children, but then I arrived.

When my sister was born a few years later, the favoritism was stark. 15:26

My parents, already distant, grew colder, showering her with all their affection while I was often neglected and bullied

There were a couple of instances where I suffered at the hands of my sister's arrogance.

I still remembered how she threw me off the stairs breaking my leg.

She also started a rumor about me in the school that I have a bad character and I get good score only by flirting with teachers.

Not just school, my life at home was even miserable.

I was forced to do home chores despite having house help.

I was the one waking up early, preparing breakfast, cleaning and managing everything on

my own.

Each and every bit of my childhood scars were illuminating with pain..

The realization was overwhelming.

Tears streamed down my face as I recalled the pain of those days.

Orlando moved to comfort me, his arms enveloping me as we both wept, the weight of our shared history finally breaking through.

It was almost surreal to think that Orlando Martin, the renowned pianist, was my father.

Orlando's voice was resolute as he promised, "I will protect you from anyone who threatens you from now on. I'll also bring your mistreatment to the attention of the werewolf council." I shook my head, trying to calm the storm of emotions within me.

"Those events are in the past. I just want to move forward and live well with my family. But

where is my mother now?"

Orlando's face grew solemn.

"We were chased by hunters back then. During one of the attacks, I was separated from your mother, who was holding you. I haven't seen her since, and it's likely she met an 15:26

unfortunate end."

The sorrow in Orlando's eyes mirrored my own grief.

Even though I had never known my mother personally, the thought that she had sacrificed herself for me was heart-wrenching.

My tears flowed freely once more, a testament to the loss of a mother I never knew but who

had loved me fiercely.

Leo tried to reach out and wipe away my tears, but Orlando grabbed his arm.

He warned, 'Don't touch my daughter.'

Leo's face grimaced as Orlando exuded a powerful aura that rivalled him, refusing to back down from anyone.

When Orlando looked at me, his gaze softened, 'You're the most talented musician I've seen in years. If you are willing, I would like to train you to become a top piano master. I have students from different races-vampires, werewolves, witches, and foxes, many from noble families. I'm sure you'll replace a suitable candidate among them.'

Rolin's attempt at humor cut through the heavy atmosphere.

"Perhaps you should consider me as a potential match," he joked, but Orlando shot him a glare, his expression clear.

"I'm here to reconnect with my daughter, not to rush her into anything."

I knew Leo wanted me to turn them down, but I just smiled.

"I'm not ready to think about love right now. My focus is on my music career." I said.

Orlando's expression brightened at my declaration. "I'm eager to learn everything about you. Let's head to your place."

When we arrived at the modest flat I'd rented, Orlando looked around with an expression that looked heartbroken.

He looked at Leo with hostility and said angrily, 'You let your Luna live in a place like this?'
